With your eyes closed

try to listen to music with your eyes closed, and I mean
closed, like closed trough the whole cd! It is a whole new
experience! Especially Ae sounds so much better! For example
Ganz Graf was like a new piece with my eyes closed!
Sometimes it is difficult to keep them closed so I thought
of maybe getting a thing to put on my eyes, like the one you
have in airplanes, when trying to sleep.

But relly all the audial textures almost vizualizes in your
brain when you can totally concencrete on the music!

Ofcourse I´m not the first to realize this, this is just a
small reminder... :)

I do it all the time when I go to sleep.

Try meditating listening to chilled out ambience
music.SawI&II works well.
I can totally work myself into a trance, where I no longer
control my physical self, and just become a mental state.

I love complete darkness, the only place I can experience
that is in the bathroom, but I love taking black baths!

best way for listening to music i know: in my room, at night
with no lights on, laying on my bed. totally agreed.

(though it depends of the music.)

yes, it great to be able to listen to an entire album
without any thoughts whatsoever crossing your mind - a state
where there is just music and no self - bliss indeed! :)

we call it is-ness

try sleeping to drukQs or confield, it´s quite
interresting, you sleep bad and deep at the same time! the
rythms get into your soul and your dreams

You could meditate to anything. try meditating to some harsh
noise. its all distracting and coo'.

the darker the room, the more subtle i like the music to be.
global goon and boards of canada make the best music for
darkness. they fill my soul with beautiful light, and i feel
young once more. :)

true meditation is purely self-observation without
distraction though - this is NICE too :)

Get to the state where you are the music. There is no
difference between you and the music

If I had to choose between being deaf or blind, I'd choose
blind,

and this is the reason why

I can only really appreciate an album if I listen to it with
eyes closed.

eyes closed... surrounded by darkness...
