yes, or you can make a very small animation, with 8 images.

If you do more then 8 , the filesize will be too big.

That's what it did here.

Hahaha! You're all stoopid! My avatar is good and I paid
nothing because my file-optimizing skills rule! 12kb is the
limit.

Bob MC, if u want me to cut it up nice, send it to
ME

the amount of pics you can use depends on what kind of pics
it are (so not necess. 8 pics) just keep it below the 12 kb
(it has got nothing to do with having payed or not)

<-- 11 kb 9 frames...optimizing isnt to hard

But if you pay, you can have enormously bloated truecolor 4D
UltraGIF 4MB avatars, like the one Jand has :)

you can make animated gifs in ImageReady, it's Photoshop's
twin brother, they even come in one package since version
6.0. ImageReady is an application entirely devoted to
preparing web-oriented pictures, especially animations. I
made my "El Bombastico" avatar with it today :)

Image ready will only let me save files as .psd, and in
photoshop if i save the file as a gif i dont get animation.
Bah I'll go look up a tutorial.
