Gescom 'ISS SA' 12"/CD (Skam) e8.90

offline martinhm from York (United Kingdom) on 2003-03-07 04:04 [#00584199]

ooh where did you get that info from? the skam news page
just says:
"gescom - new 12" - SKA020"

So where did you get the name from? Is it really also on CD?
What does "e8.90" mean?

Interesting. Ear-rational has the following:

Gescom - ISS SA [SKA020CD] $7.75 (CDS)
RELEASE DATE: 04/01/2003 "Rush release so as not to cash in
on the Autechre hype. First release from Gescom since 1998.
Four brand new tracks."

Hope it's not limited. I want it.

Did we ever figure out if "Dual Purpose" is an actual Gescom
release?

Autechre, but more hip-hoppish...that a basic description.
But it's a unique, home-grown sound.

offline DaWeeze from WANTED IN 16 STATES! on 2003-03-07 20:08 [#00585569]

And Skam doesn't exactly have the resources or large fanbase
to do a several thousands release...

If it were a compilation of Gescom, that would probably be a
different story...

offline DaWeeze from WANTED IN 16 STATES! on 2003-03-07 20:09 [#00585570]
Points: 5213 Status: Addict

Not to mention that the artist may wish for a limited
release...

nah it's just them cashing in on the autechre hype like they
said they're not doing.... but seriously, to sell records,
all they have to do is market it as an autechre side
project.

So does anyone know if "Dual Purpose" is actually Gescom?
Or is it bogus? I've had these mp3's and I know I'm not the
only person who's curious.

New AE and new Gescom!
This is too good to be true! The whole "dual purpose" thing
passed me by entirely. Can someone please fill me in?

keynell 1-4 is nice...not that limited and rereleased
....you can easely get hold of one...
this" is good but harder to track down
same for that"
daweeze....skam do have the fanbase to release 2 or 3
thousand copies....its what its often doing....how many
copies do you think they pressed for the last quinoline
yellow? eight?
and ,like,12 cryptoburners?
the MD is always on ebay...sometimes warp have a copy...got
mine 3 months ago.
gescom on clear is the one i want...

corngrower - then you have something to look forward to!
Especially, the Gescom track "Viral rival" or the first Key
nell remix by Ae...for example.

The minidsic is nothing to die for tho, noise mostly (my
first and only prerecorded md)
