don't know why but io don't like idm like before.don't
know.the problem is that there are few really good artists i
like very much(AUTECHRE,squarepusher,amon tobin,matmos) the
rest is incredibilly overrated(IMO).exspecially the last idm
mediocre.......hrvatski,bogdan,datach'i,vsnares,phoenecia,r
stuff i heard is pretty ichard devine.not much original.of
course is all well done but i really can't get them.
sorry for this but i think i'm coming back to rock.and i'm
restarting to play guitar like a year ago.
rock'n'roll for president.
idm sucks.

hmm, nothing wrong with rock, but there's more electronic
music to idm, and pretty good artists as well...

if you have to try to find stuff to keep you into it then
you shouldn't listen to it.

wtf!? i don't ever want to see those words again. idm is
NOT pop. the only reason most people can get into it is cuz
its awesome and it has so much feeling in it.

its not pop! just cuz its enjoyable doesn't mean its pop.
pop is trendy. you are just looking for new trends to get
into it seems. nuthing can satisfy you cuz ur always
changing. limp bizkit sux fat ass and should never be
compared to idm or refrenced with it.

Well there is 2 reasons why you dont like it more.

1. you dont get it

2. you need to move on to Avantgarde
like John Cage or Stockhausen among
others

Their music litteraly is beyond time and space. It's not
messured. You wont find better music than IDM/Electronica in
any other music styles, not even classical music.

I was tired of this: grrrrrrprrrrrrrrrrrrr eeeeeeeerrrrr
daka dunkrrrrrrrrrr shiiiiiiiiiiiiboink!!!!!
...so i listened to sophie zelmani one hour. then I got
tired of that and listened to computor rockers for 5 days
and then kraftwerk and then and then....some old anthrax
records......
Is ther a rule that says that you have to be into just one
type of music? NO!
Listen to what the heck you want.
i'm getting tired of everything everyday.
But that' is part of life man. face it!!!!!!!!!

look, just don't worry about it. Everybody goes through
these fases. If you feel more like "rock" now, then play
your guitar, listen to rockmusic, buy rock-cd's etc.
Maybe/probably you will come back to idm someday.

There are very few days where i'm in the mood for idm
and rockmusic. Sometimes i don't listen to anything
that isn't electronic for weeks and weeks... and then i
suddenly feel more like hearing something with vocals and
powerful emotions... and i go back to all my rock/pop cd's
for a while.

Don't fight it... just listen to whatever you want to listen
to.

yes maybe one day i'll like idm like before.maybe i just
should take a break.
the fact is that i don't hear much originality in idm these
days.i might be wrong but is my opinion.
one thing:
i get idm.i love confield and all the stuff but lately al i
heard sounds trite and useless.

yeah no wonder you don't like idm anymore - apart from
bogdan all those artists you mentoned are really boring -
try stuff on leaf records - high quality - manitoba, asa
chang and sunray, etc - four tet , the bug on razor x - soon
on rephlex - dj scud and ambuah prefuse 73, drexciya,
akufen, herbert, underground resistance just do more
exploring i'd say

Could'nt have really be into it in the first place is what I
reckon.

I may get bored every now and again from over exposure. But
the greats Aphex, Pusher, Mike P will always stay with me no
matter what. A lot of other music is just filler stuff for
the true kings of music. :-)

slint "does not like idm no more" so the double negative
changes the meaning of the sentence to the opposite of the
way you all have interpreted it.

its not even a double negative. since no morre is just

"anyone can enjoy idm.a guy wich listens to rhcp and limp
bizkit can enjoy aphex a lot. "

most people havent even fucking heard of aphex let alone idm
itself, especially limp bizkit fans if there even are
anymore. there are people who like aphex and like rhcp but
not the other way around if that makes any sense. bah
whatever.

i kinds know what you mean sometimes but you just gotta look
for different music, i like avante garde and abstract stuff
a lot right now.

why do you even post about this..?

so you want to listen to other music - go ahead. it seems
pretty silly to write off a whole genre though.
