do you believe in these things?

this depends on your definition of Tarot. If you mean The
Book of Thoth, the qabballistic cards, then yes.

For more answers & explaination, read Crowley's "The Book of
Thoth" and Regardie's "A Garden of Pomegranates"

Sure!
The girl I'm in love with does black magic.
I saw her doing some things.
creepy
I like that mysterious thing about her!

at least they make you think the things in your life.. tarot
has been a 'hobby' for me for years.

I like when people talk to me about these things... when
they talk about my future... with that mistery... with that
voice... its really pleasant... but i dont really believe...
I just enjoy it

Black Magic doesn't exist... only people who want to use
Magick for selfish purposes.

Nope. My ex used to be into it. Seems a bit of a waste of
time to me, but then, I'm a cynic and I've wasted months of
my life playing videogames so I can't criticise :)

well , she did some things I don't have an explanation for.
silly things. I don't see why it would've been selfish.
maybe the word black magic was not in it's right place here.

but that doesn't make her less interesting.

I'm not into this, and you obviously are, so I'm not going
to argue

Enough with the Black Magic! That crap gives Magick a
seriously bad name! There are those who pursue the
right-hand path, and there are those who pursue the
Left-hand (ie sinister, from the italian for left) path

my view is that transpersonal matters should not be messed
with. for your own good! more often than not people get
burned real bad. you risk effectively blinding yourself to
reality in attempts to uncover something super natural.

I've never heard of Osho.

I just thought tarot was a waste of time as the majority of
practitioners seem to be inconsistant, self taught and
teenage girls who don't really believe in it, but just do it
to be weird and interesting.

Fair enough if people who are grown up want to do it and
take it seriously though.

They aren't real taro tho, Ceri. Don't forget that - the
real tarot is the Qaballa in card form, used, for instance,
as a form of table and grouping together of relevant
elements etc.

And they never use the minor arcana either- they just like
the pretty pictures on the major arcana cards :P

All the people I know who've done it (I'm sure not all users
are like that) are groups of girls who just do it as a
strange secretive girly thing. Usually after they've watched
"the craft" and got a book on it from their local
holistic/crystal seller hippy shop.

interesting topic inDEED!

i don't believe in dat stuff, i'm a true skeptic about all
that kind O stuff. it's interesting, and all that, but i
wouldn't spend any money having my palm read, my future
told, or living my life by HORRORscopes <----tee hee!

my future depends on ME, and it's up to me to make it what i
want. i believe in self fulfilling futures, whatever you put
into things usually comes back to you! =0)

my .02 cents!

I can understand not believing in the "fairground" system of
superstition - but true taro and qabala - surely you cannot
say you don't believe in it until you have studied it fully?

tarrots are silly. How can a card determine my future? I
once went to a tarrot card person and mocked them whilest
they read my future, they got angry and just said it was for
fun and to stop being an idiot, so theres the truth to it,
its just for fun.
