Boards of Canada commentry

I've not seen a link to this here before, so I thought
people might be interested...

I'm most puzzled by the statement, "The problem with their
first full-length album, Music Has The Right To Children
(Warp, 1998), is that it is too obviously inspired by their
mentors Autechre."

Personally I think the sounds (if not the composition) are
almost diametrically opposed to those of ae. What are your
views? Discuss...

after reading it all... I must say that sentence you remark:
"The problem with their
first full-length album, Music Has The Right To Children
(Warp, 1998), is that it is too obviously inspired by their

mentors Autechre"

is stupid

Yes, especially about their older, rarer releases...

That's the thing- they say the old releases are quite poor,
but when they knock MHTRTC and geogaddi you really must
question their judgement.
