many of you are familiar with the song "born slippy" or, at
least the "born slippy nuxx mix" which appears on the
trainspotting soundtrack,
it is a shame that many people have never heard the
original, a song which, I beleive should have never been
changed in the first place, the original version of this
track is also fairly hard to find, as it only appeared in 1
version of the 8 different "born slippy" singles that were
released, and with the popularity of the "nuxx" mix, it is
almost impossible to find via soulseek,

so with out further ado...

the orignal instrumental, born slippy, about one page dow...

my favourite "album" is the dark & long EP. i think its an
import from denmark. its about 78 minutes.

it has 'thing in a book' and another 20 minutes track. i
think thats what they do best, not this 4 minute pop rubbish
im hearing on the last 2 albums.

A bit of Underworld History

They used to be a bad too late on the scene imitation of an
electronic pop/New Wave band..

They make a few hugely successful electronica albums of
dubious qmerits

They are now a bad too late on the scene imitation of a
commercial Euro Trance band..

The End.

The Born Slippy (non nuxx) is an amazing song. Far better
then the Nuxx mix.

Underworld is amazing. I have every single release I can
find. I can't wait till they come back to NY so I can see
them live again.

(that's all I can add to this topic)

I always used to turn on my musician friends to E using
Dubnobasswithmyhead...Most of 'em were very traditional so
Techno/Dance was kinda lost on 'em, all meaningless
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM "Faceless Techno Bollocks" but UW had
the right mix between harder rhythms & solid tunes to back
them up...Even the hardcore Folkies, the Hurdy-Gurdy crew,
finally got it...("When you get medicined by me, you know
you've been medicined!!!" )...

Plus they were (& still are, I believe) part of Tomato -
uber-hip creative/design company, so their records always
looked great...(Process is a great book by Tomato if you
want an intro...)...
