I wasn't really happy with that first version, so I went
back and did some editing, changed a few parts, and such.

Here's the new mix.

("Dream Cushion" is still the title)

well I definately stuck to the spontinaity stipulation, as
my track took about as long to record as it does to listen
to it ;) .. so if it's not really that great I'll redo it..
I think it's pretty good though, and musically fits the
theme..

how did u come up w/ this theme, and why pillows?

beautiful beat-thingy.. especially loved the sounds on my
Right (speaking stereo-wise here..) - feels like a kind of
residu. nice.

don't like the melody, really. not my thing.

nice for such a short time though.. :)

if I have the time tomorrow evening I'll try and whip
something up too..

anyway, Jonathan, I'm mailing you my cd-r tomorrow - I'll
send you an e-mail. :)

well I put together another track in about 2 hours, but it's
5:17 long. is that alright, or since the rule is under 5
minutes, will I need to trim it down a bit?

if anyone is interested, go take a listen and let me know
what you think.

*bump

hope my last submission was acceptable, though it is 4:15
long.. came pretty close to that 5 minute limit. originally
ended as 5:17, but I chopped off a large portion of the
intro to lower the time.

portland, if you have some more samples you want to
incorporate into your track then just do an updated version
and let me know on this thread that you've made some changes
so I can d/l the latest one..

this goes for anyone else too that is thinking about
tweaking out their track any.. just let me know on here that
you have done so, because I have d/l everything that has
been posted thus far. I started the mix too hehehe..

teapot: yours is good.. never be afraid of delay, that's
what I always say. quite theme oriented..

theo: yeah man, good stuff. I used to do quite a bit of
on-the-fly production, so it was neat to hear those little
nuances of a one-taker.. your track does a good job of
standing out from the others while at the same time fitting
in pretty snugly with the theme... I'm a sucker for
duality.

*goes back to designing the cover*
