Me and a mate are thinking we might get some Salvia for ATP. Any tips regarding it? Should we go for a box of normal salvia or get the x6 or x10 strength extract? Can you eat it in food/butter like canabis? Cheers. |

are you crazy? have you done any research on this drug at all? personally i have never used it but i've read many reports about it being one of the most intense drugs, IF you get any effects at all. for it to work, you need to smoke it in a bong, then hold it in your longs as long as possible, then do that a few times. as if thats not bad enuff, they also say it tastes awful. the resulting effect will be so weird that you need to have a sober person who watches your ass in case you freak. you might want to read more on erowid.org or shroomery.org have fun at ATP man but i'd rethink your drug of choice. personally i wouldnt even go shrooming at a party that big, since i cant handle paranoia at all. |

Yes, I had researched it already- I had read about a technique to make it dissolvable in alcohol and wondered if it'd work in food as well. I've decided not to take any now. Thanks for the info anyway. |

its a hallucinogenic plant. In the netherlands it is still legal, as far as i'm aware, but its no drug to screw around with. mushrooms are legal as well, but doesnt mean they are shit. |

salvia is strange shit. hard to describe, bit like acid, bit like dmt, full body effect. dosn't last that long, and each toke after the first has a lesser effect. walking can be interesting! ;) as always, be careful and it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a straight minder with you. freaking out is a possibility!! |

i unfortunately have done salvis denorum, and i can tell you i think it is a bad idea for ANYONE to do... i have never heard of anyone having a "pleasant" experience on it, though some get off on the mindrape aspect. i highly suggest not touching this crap. i know from my own experience and others who i know personally, it is bad stuff. plus i have heard many credible horror stories about it. trust me, its just not worth doing. but hey, who knows, if you like getting your mind completely violated and feeling like something is very wrong, you'll love it. |

forgive my spelling errors, to answer someone's question, it was used by mexican cheifs much like peyote was by the native americans, to attain a spiritual high. i personally cannot see how this way attained, as i felt no sense of serenity on it. i felt horribly violated. imagine your mind being twisted like a nightmarish salvador dali painting... sounds cool, huh? yeah thats what i thought too. so i did it. im sorry i did. that was when i quit all drugs all together. because of salvia. now im happy i did it, it got me clean. i am mentally more aware and together now than ive ever been. but i warn anyone who considers using this drug, serious mental and physical side effects CAN and MAY occur. it is dangerous. trust someone who has done it. |

the effects vary from person to person. just because you had a horrible experience doesnt mean somebody else will too. just read some trip reports on the shroomery (this site has info on every drug in existence, so dont be mislead by the website's name) |

Ceri: It's okay. I took 5x ectract the first time and if you do it with respect for the plant then it's ok. Far too many just take it "to try it out". If you've done shrooms and acid I guess that helps. It's powerful, but short lasting. Where I live it is also legal. |

hahaha haven't the people who own that shop ever heard of crack house laws? i seriously hope they're not letting people smoke/ingest it there.. salvia interests me very greatly, but i've never tried it.. if i do i'll be very specific about when, where, and how i do it.. remember what tim leary said about creating the proper environment for a beneficial trip: Set and Setting are vitally important.. Set being the mental Set you posses when you enter into the trip experience.. i.e.: DO NOT TRIP IF YOU FEEL BAD. :-P leary thought of these substances as microscopes for the mind.. if you are angry and bitter when you take a high powered hallucinogen, you will have a VERY BAD TIME 90% OF THE TIME (and remember that 75.86% of all statistics are made up on the spot).. Setting is just what it sounds like.. you want to be in a peacefull setting that you find very comfortable, and in the case of something like salvia, you want to be as sure as possible that you will have no interruptions.. if you read up on erowid, the link to which someone has already posted, you'll see that *doing* anything while on salvia is a horrible idea.. i'd say the same thing of acid, but there's just something about walking around wal-mart at 3 am with pupils the size of quarters.. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.. but then i have to get out before the flourescent lights infect my BRAAAAIIIIINNNNNN >_o |

IMPORTANT NOTE: though i've not done either, it is common knowledge amongs those with experience that the smoked salvia blast off is a completely different trip than the slower onset, longer lasting chewed leaves. the most trustworthy individual that i've spoken to on the subject explained to me that if you're looking to do any healing with the plant, chew the quid. the smoked form seems to be more about the mindfuck. i've never done it and i couldn't say that one couldn't benefit from it, but after much research it seems that one should be a bit more cautious when smoking it. |

It's like this : Normally you're standing on solid ground. When you smoke salvia, the floorboards rot out from beneath your feet and you're sent tumbling down into the recesses of your mind -- For the next 4 minutes or so you're trying to work your way out of an endless haunted house. The only thing I can remember is something about little boys riding on snails and being attacked by tiny tinker toys: toy soldiers with malicious expressions painted on their faces, sneering dolls and nasty wind-up ducks. Oh the horror! Afterwards my nerves felt a bit jangled for 10 or 15 minutes, then I was fine.. Felt just like I did before I smoked the crud. My brother tried it once and said that when he heard me talk he thought is was ten rows of tiny white kittens running through ten tiny doors.... Queer stuff. |

i almost forgot... i have tried salvia. i took one hit that my friend jim gave me and it was a pleasantly mild high for about 15 minutes, but never took off. having not really got out of it what one usually does with the stuff, i usually forget about this experience. harsh on the lungs. was a 5X. |

I have tried it 2 times and the first time it made me trip for 10 Minutes. The secod time I smoked a whole bag without feeling nothing. IMO it a waste of time and your lungs. |
