is anyone here taking any music courses at school? specifically classes involving "computer music"? I might be going to brown next year .. and one course in particular that is attracting me to it is an electronic/computer music course.. is anyone taking a similar course at their school? if so what is it like and how much creative/artistic freedom is given to the students?

i've thought about going to school for some sort of computer music production course, and the best one i've seen so far is the one offered at Full Sail college in florida.. their site is www.fullsail.com .. i see you're from new york, so you might not want to make the transistion to florida, but you still might want to check it out... you learn hands on in the studio and get studio hours you can put on your resumé.. a friend of mine is going there for audio engineering and he's getting something like 156 hours of studio time..
from what i hear about the school they're very easy going and let students persue their own style without restrictions.. i'd love to go there, but it's really expensive.. of course they have a job placement program and you're guaranteed a job when you graduate, and with the salary of an audio engineer or whatnot i could pay back the loans pretty quickly.. hmm.. heh.. such a dilemma..
