After umming and arring for months I finally bought some new headphones- Sennheiser HD 25 Pros (not the SP ones). Should come in handy for music making as well as DJing.
I can't wait for them to arrive :D

Yes the SP is the budget model (still very very good though!) of the ones I'm getting.
I would of actually bought the SP version had Richer Sounds Hi-Fi store answered the phone this afternoon...

The Pan-balance is excellent. Download "WE - Protons". It has nothing to do with headphones, but it's a phuqqing rokkin' D n' B/IDM Track.

I got the Sony MDR-7506. They're proven in professional applications, good low and midrange.

I chose between the Sennheiser HD25 and Koss Porta Pro when i bought mine and I took the Koss Porta Pro. Mainly because they're half open, and have such massive bass registers.

Grado is a great company for top notch headphones. I have sr-125s and I love them. A better value (and many say better sounding) when compared to comparable senns.

ceri, be extra-careful with all the plastic parts in your sennies.. they tend to break quite easy (second time the rotating joint between the actual headphone and the arch between has broken in the ones i use). the importer did send a new one last time.

Yes, I'd noticed the way they were built was sturdy, but the plastic wasn't as thick as I'd like. Fortunately the model I have has 2 "top of head" bands so if one breaks I have a spare ;)

£100 & £17 Vat... if you order them from Finland you won't get charged the VAT...
I bought them with my birthday money as I knew they were something that would last and that I'd find useful.
The stereo range on them is fantastic. It's far wider than any headphones I've used before.

Yes, every bit of the HD25s is replaceable and no single bit costs more than £30. Really good as I don't have to be paranoid about breaking them when they're in my record bad.

Yeah it's tops!
Tempting to overuse it, but great in moderation. The 5 second sampler is v. useful to so long as you turn the bas down so it doesn't distort.
I've only had the chance to use it playing out once as all the other clubs mixers haven't had the right sort of FX loop :)

Sennheiser cans are rinsing. But, whatever you do don't snap the jackplug off. You cannot resolder fibre optics. Like you can regular headphones. Please learn from My experience or forfit an expensive mistake.

headphones by GRADO LABS are 150$+, but they give you the sound of a 20,000$ stereo system.
