Call HP or visit their website and search for FAQs and
downloads related to that model. You might have to uninstall
and reinstall the drivers or sumpin.

Big PC manufacturers almost always have custom motherboards
and bioses and shit so only HP can help you really.

Next time, don't buy an HP. Get a vanilla box from a local
screwdriver shop, get a decent PCI soundcard, and put Win2k
on there while you're at it. It sucks less.

"I would just like to let you know it will cost you thirty
dollars to ask me a question or request support since your
warranty is up on your computer"-hp consultant

"30 $!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU FUCKIN' SERIOUS?!"-me

"that's thirty dollars please"-hp consultant

[hangs phone up]

I am boycotting HP.

I'd say goto the HP website. Most computer companies have a
comprehensive self help section for free.

check the connections inside the computer, but make sure you
wear a static strap, you don't want to accidentally blow all
the circuts with static electricity.

I'm old HP supporter

dude...figure out which chipset your computer is using
(Intel, Ali, VIA etc.).
Then download the newest chipset-drivers from Intel
Downloadfinder, Via (4in1 driver), or
ALi.

Download the driver needed, and install...that should do the
trick

Yep, they always string out the call with unrelated nonsense
if you're being charged for it. Like other premium rate
lines, ahem.
