Since everyone's been talking about how Draft 7.30 is more accessible, I thought I'd bring up some other artists that had recent 'accessible' albums released.
Venetian Snares - Winter in the belly of a snake: The is the most "pop" oriented Snares release I've heard yet. Tons of catchy (and some suprisingly simple) melodies, lots of singing, and less harsher beats/sounds, makes this way more appealing to a mass market audience.
Aphex Twin - 26 Mixes For Cash: Perhaps a backlash to the critism from drukqs or maybe Richard just needs money to buy his own army and take over the world with afx clones }:). I'd say its his most excessible album yet. A variety of stuff from his pre-drukqs era will appeal to all those who didn't enjoy drukqs as much as some of us did.
Gridlock - Trace: It seems that Gridlock has abandoned some of it's Goth roots by taking Trace in a great direction from previous releases. This album clearly shows Gridlocks potential, all while drawing in various audiences instead of pushing some back. The beautiful ambience is done in seach a great combination with gritty hart pounding beats that it makes me want to dance and cry at the same time.
____ So yeah, tell me what you think and feel free to add some other groups that have done similar things. I was going to talk about Do you know squarepusher, but I haven't listened to it enough to say anything about it. Oh and this is clearly all in my opinion of course :)

i wouldnt say that 26 mixes for cash is a backlash to any criticisms of drukqs.
i doubt he even gives a fuck about anyone dissing his work....
its simply to finish his recording contract with warp.

''i doubt he even gives a fuck about anyone dissing his work''
Nah, I think it's quite the opposite!
And I still don't hear why everyone thinks Draft is sooooo accessible. A little more than Confield, yeah, but what isn't... such a tiny difference to my ears.
