Geez there is some tension in the community these
dayz...What happened to the good old Harold Bishop and
Episode II will be great dayz...Must be the impending war on
iraq and oil prices that are causing all this global angst.

"dont tolerate people slowing the thing down... we had
quite a few people slow the slsk one down by taking an
entire month and then saying they arent doing a track"

word.

btw, how is your one working? there's one list, two?
is random?

How many time have the ppl to make the song, and how long
can be?

How many total musicians are working on it?

Theo, is there still room on this list for this?

plagasul, what's the matter you, why the flame wars? A
project like this should have no affect on you are soulseek
records whatsoever.

Leaving this open for now, some people want to know more
about it... but anymore little hissy fits and arguing and
it's GONZO. We already fought and made up.

It wasnt "Soulseeks" idea, the original Idea came from
http://www.remixworld.com....

offline acp from anchorage, ak (United States) on 2003-02-22 15:03 [#00566693]

monoid, i really dont see the similarity... the slsk one was
taking the end of a persons track and going off of it and
the remix world thingy looks like its just... well...
remixes...

"It wasnt "Soulseeks" idea, the original Idea came from
http://www.remixworld.com...."

this is the stupid part... do you guys think that any idea
is original anymore anyhow? I mean take a look at the
messageboard, you don't hear anyone raising hell because
there are more than one messageboards, or napsters. It's
just naive in the first place to believe that any idea is
original... remember the only things you can know are from
past experiences. Know matter how innovative and novel you
think you are, i'm sure someone can pick apart another idea
that was either similar or derivitive.

So enough already, it's just plain dumb

Like I said a million times (and ignored by everybody from
Soulseek every time), I've seen the ideas like this thrown
around ALL the time by the music makers here, pre-dating the
SLSK thing. Passing around a single Fruityloop file and
having everyone remix/add a bit, compilations, you name it,
it's been done.

the thing ophecks said, with the floops flp given to
everyone could make it much better. but i know this is
impossible and this would destroy the whole idea.

i'm really glad that this is going on so nice. when i first
heard about the idea, i thougt that it will die soon. i
wanted to arrangfe the project, but i have no server nor
good internet connetion to do it. now i see that this thing
is rollin nice. i see that this mb has a really strong
community !

I wanna know, will there be any sample packs kind of thing,
like snares used etc, or are we going to be sampling the
previous track? Coz if so the quality is gonna drop innit?
