What? No Autechre's "LP5"...no Aphex Twin's "Richard D.
James Album"...no Squarepusher's "Hard Normal Daddy"...

Pfft. They didn't even try!

:P
;)

not impressed. some of those albums are shite, but there
were a lot of good ones that they gave really shite reasons
for dissing.
namely Mogwai.
Anyone could sit and write about 100 albums they dont like
for whatever reason.
That said, reviewers dont influence my decision to buy/not
buy music.
Listening to it does.

yeah, there's bound to be someone offended by this list ;)

namely the fans of crappy music

I never said I agreed ;p
I just thought some people here might like to see it and
start a topic about music... because, well, this is a
music-related messageboard, no?

It's a joke list, anyway. It's just in response to all the
"Top 100 Greatest, Hottest, Latest, Can't live Without,
Marooned On A Desert Island, Albums That Changed The Face Of
A Galaxy!!!" lists that have been wrought upon a weary
music-jaded public...(VH1 has been especially guilty of this
to fill their crappy music network's programming slots)

:P to lists. Who needs them?

Okay, Ian, we get it - don't drink, don't smoke, what do you

Far too random.

It could have been a nice list if he would have only listed
truly "elitist" albums, and gave good argumentations why
they supposedly "suck"... and well, that would have been
entertaining atleast.

But the list only contains some of those, also lots of
mainstream stuff. Some of those albums i like, some i don't.
I would have preferred it if he listed a 100 albums i love
and put those down :-p Then it would have atleast pissed me
off. But now i felt nothing. Just a grumpy guy writing about
music he doesn't like.

Some of them I actually agree with, and some of them are
just put there for shock value.

I have seemingly every goddamned one of them...

Oh well, hehe, good read!

No, on CD. I have hundreds of CDs. I just can't afford them
anymore so I don't bother with them. I have almost no IDM
CDs... just a few.

Look close (really close, my webcam is the worst in the
world) and you can make out the Beatles on the front of my
horizontal CD rack. Revolver-Sgt. Pepper-Abbey Road.

*reads...*

Nirvana - Nevermind?
> oh, come on it was overrated but not bad!

Oasis - What's the Story, Morning Glory?
> same thing, overrated but not bad. what do they say? bad
lyrics? the lyrics aren't the only thing important in a song
mind you, and maybe they won't change the world and are
senseless, i don't see what's wrong with that!

Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
> so what? teenage angst cliché? i'll give you that. but it
was an important album, this you can't deny (and you don't
even try to, you just avoid that fact). and the music is
good too even if you don't like the lyrics.

Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention - We're Only In It
For The Money
> i'm listening to it at the moment... i hated it at first
but i'm liking it more and more.
and why should a parody/critic be 100% the opposite of what
it is criticizing? silly.

Einstürzende Neubauten - Kollaps
"fucking unlistenable", eh? yeeah, riiight... stupid. ^^
you just don't know what you're writing about - if you find
it unlistenable, that's because it's not your kind of music,
that's all - and therefore you shouldn't even try to
criticize it.
it wouldn't surprise me at all if you only listened to it
once or twice with all your clichés in your close-minded
head.
this band is lasting for soon 23 years now, if it was
"unlistenable" it wouldn't have lasted for long!
i highly doubt you stupid critic will last as long...
i won't read any further your inepties.
you even failed to make me upset, mr...? "staff"? oh, you
didn't even dare to post your names - i understand you.

just plain ridiculous.

Hehe, don't get worked up about it. The guy that made the
list knows all that. It's just to get a reaction.

Some of the things he says are dead on though, pretty funny
stuff!

they'd need more than these risible shallow "critics" to
make me really upset. :)

I feel sorry for Oasis. The moptops, the arrogance when they
said they wanted to be as big as the Beatles, the blatant
Beatle rip-offs... set them up for failure.

But they're not that bad, I don't mind them. They just said
the wrong things. You don't fucking compare yourself to the
Beatles, they're shit on Lennon's shoes.

Liam even named his son LENNON! What the fuck is he trying
to do?

actually liam or noel whoever, said that they were better
than the beatles, oasis sucks anyways. I think that list is
pretty much dead on aside from like 5 of em, fugazi,
einsturzende neubauten and some others im forgetting.
