I remember how I came to hear of this--about a week before
it's release I was in a small record shop, and they were
playing this wicked tune--I felt moved to ask them what the
hell it was, and they said it was the new aphex
twin--needless to say I put in my order IMMEDIATELY! And
yay! a few days later I had my own treasured copy of 2
remixes :)

thats a nice story there, no much chance of hearing this in
one of our shops

and, i used the search feature but since i cant use 2 words
i put in just remixes and there were just to many results to
go through

I think he said it was like old stuff cos it has some acid
sounding

i remember picking it up.
t'was a few months or so before druqks.
a plain white paper sleeve with a label on it saying AFX.
i bought it straight away.

we lived happily ever after together.

I buy everything by AFX when spot it and dont own it. Thats
the way it was with 2Remixes. Pretty nice tracks. Is it
true that MEN is AFXs & Squarepushers Label ? I hope they
release more on that.

yeah, well he said that in an nme interview, so he's
probably takin the piss.
i read that issue. he was mostly takin the piss all the way
through

EVERYONE seems to like 2 remixes. Me too. I saw it on
aphextwin.nu ages ago, and thought oohhh looks interesting.
downloaded the 808state, fell in love with it and bought the
vinyl:) the bonus sounds are a bit annoying though. theyre
obviously not music(probs even to rdj himself:) but after
the whole equation thing, im not sure if i want to try and
work out what sort of encoded message it contains, because
afx's joke might have been: hahaha they'll think its an
encoded message but its just random noise. perhaps i have
thought about this too much!! a day of mastering and mix
downs kinda messes with your head (:s)

The moment in the 2nd mix where the music suddenly stops and
you hear some guy saying something and bursting into
laughter... and then the insanity (read: the music)
continues again... that moment always makes me smile for
some reason.

The 2nd mix is far superior the 1st anyway (imo), the intro
makes me go crazy! I love it!

looking back on this thread, it seemed like a good start for
MEN records, now with the MEN2 smojphace release and peoples
ugly opinions not so sure.....

i havent got my smoj release just yet so i have yet to
comment.

The two releases simply don't compare. MEN1 is in a
different league.

2 remixes by AFX is awesome! Untitled1 is one of my fav rmx
of all time, and Untitled2 is great too.
I like the old acid sounds remixed with drill'n'bass recent
stuff.

my fav moment is in track1 at anout 1'10 when RDJ launch the
power-acid after various break.

high frequencies sounds is unlistenable
