I know most people here probably don't like this album much, but I love it... I think the music is beautiful on most of the songs... there are a couple duds, but overall I find it pretty solid... I put this on tonight for the first time in ages, and I don't know, it just does something for me... the melodies are real nice, and the guitar playing is amazing... some of Dave Gilmours best that I've heard, imo... I remember I bought this just before the whole Columbine massacre thing, which really had a big affect on me... and this album helped me with that, particularly the song Coming Back to Life, which is downright gorgeous!! Maybe it's not as good as Pink Floyds earlier stuff with Roger Waters, or even with Syd Barrett, but there is a lot of good stuff on this album... I really like it... |
