this phrase is in the liner notes for tri repetae.. does it mean that the album is not properly heard if you don't listen on vinyl? or is it talking about all the white noise in the music itself? i'm stupid so school me

I think the line is meant to provoke conversation and suggest something about their work that even they can't pinpoint. Sorta like John Cage .. they want what goes on in the room to become part of the record itself.

other obscure sleeve notes anybody? 1. "RDJ made in Ireland" on Caustic window is cool 2. "Hello" on FMWT matches "Bye" on HND
