this phrase is in the liner notes for tri repetae.. does it
mean that the album is not properly heard if you don't
listen on vinyl? or is it talking about all the white noise
in the music itself? i'm stupid so school me

I think the line is meant to provoke conversation and
suggest something about their work that even they can't
pinpoint. Sorta like John Cage .. they want what goes on in
the room to become part of the record itself.

Yeah, I also think it's a reference to vinyl.

thus making it a possibility that the record itself (no
matter cd or vinyl)... is not a cloned listen.

god damn i enjoy the listening!

it actually says 'incomplete witout surface noise', i dunno
if they misspelt 'without' on purpose....

interesting. I thinks its a throwaway remark for the buzz of
it

other obscure sleeve notes anybody?
1. "RDJ made in Ireland" on Caustic window is cool
2. "Hello" on FMWT matches "Bye" on HND
