Was it a compound fracture? I saw my tibia and fibula
sticking out of my leg when some drunk idiot ran me down and
I had the same thing done.

My mate managed a nice spiralling fracture of his lower leg
whilst skating. Amusingly, I ended up in the next hospital
bed, purely by chance with a broken arm. I didn't even know
he had broken his leg at that point. I thought he was a
morphine induced hallucination for a while...

how it was done: jumping out of moving car for no reason
whilst drunk

what was done: several fractures/breaks in 3 seperate bones

it seems that all the "cool cats" around here have broken a
limb before, if you haven't already fractured a limb DO SO
NOW, or else you'll be shunned by the rest of the apex.nu
community

Testify.

Broken legs are the best. The recovery period was fun, I
spent many many weeks confined to a bed playing SNES, not
going to school.

Can you say ''heaven''?

I had the same (similar) in my arm

I broke the 2 bones in my arm (ratius and cubit) in two
places each... I was like a cyborg too

It's one of those things you have to do to be able to say
you've had a full life :)

It doesn't actually hurt that much either. You just feel
numb and weird from the adrenaline. It hurts a few hours
afterwards unless you're pumped full of morphine though.

yeah, my friends thought it was freaky how calm I was after
the accident, I was like "hey, I broke my leg, someone ring
an ambulance" and stuff

What did it look like? Was it bent in some inhuman way?

lol. I just joined the broken leg club 2 weeks ago. I still
cant walk on it either!

I thought it was kinda cool having a new joint in the middle
of my shin! But they had to fix it with a metal rod, and now
its gone :(

"(this isn't actually the X-ray itself but an artist's
rendition)
"

lol
oh really? ;-)

I once broke a toe...
That was the only bone in my body that was ever fractured.
It also didn't heal in the right way, and now my toe forever
has a bend in it... it looks kind of weird, but it doesn't
cause any problems. (if it ever will cause any
problems they're going to re-break it and then fix it
again... hm... i hope it's never going to cause any troubles
:-p)
