I was bored earlier today so I mossied on into town and bought Red Dwarf series 2 on DVD (which I hadn`t seen in ages),obviously a great series,along with the others (apart from series 1,which was average,and series 6 which pish).The extras on the DVD are good as well :)..... Well after watching it i was curious about when the other series will be released on DVD,so I went to the site ,unfortunately they are only releasing 2 series a year (series 3 being released november this year,series 4 febuary next year....and so on). But I noticed on the site that they`re going to be making the film this year (i heard they were going to make one years ago,but forgot aboot it :D),filming is supposed to commence in march,with a release of the movie in december (yay!!! :D).......well here`s hoping they`ll finally get their finger out and actually do it.(they are taking their time aboot it). Very little info about the movie is available at the site :D (see link)....but it does have some storyboards if your interested in that sort of thing. That`s aboot it ,not much of a topic to talk aboot :D ,but discuss things red dwarf if you like ;) |

been looking forward to this for ages yay! series 6 is excellent, the last good series imo or are you thinking of series 7 & 8 when they introduced kochansky? |

Actually I think im thinking of series 7 there,the one without rimmer (the only good bit i remember was ace vs the nazis.....that was great). I liked the last series (series 8),thought it was back on form with that one.As I remember from that site,they won`t be making a 9th series until after the movie,and wither it`s succesful or not......but i think they`ll make one even if the movie flops.....hopefully. *throws a dart at earthleakages pic of noels ugly mug,then incinerates it with a flamethrower* :D |

Yeah everything after series 6 was wank... although the one where they went into Rimmer's mind was quite funny. The movie has been mentioned since series 3... I dunno, it'll probably suck big style... :) |

hehe,howdy bruce ,yeah im not expecting much from it,but there`s a chance..... Hopefully they don`t include kochanski in it though,she`s a crap charecter in it :( ,it`s bad to say that even claire grogan was less anoying at playing her :D |

Yeah, totally agree with you there cabe... Are the two writers Grant/Naylor still working together? And I mean, wtf kind of storyline can they have now? After nearly 60 episodes they must be wearing a bit thin on material |

Nope,they`re not working together anymore (not even in the movie.....on the site it has some of the credits,think its rob grant whos writing and directing it) :( My guess is that they`ll be starting from the begining with movie (as in like what series one was aboot)......as i noticed with the storyboards on that site was of the stasis chambers (where lister goes to waken up 3 million years later)....probably to get new viewers into it(or is that me being cynical :D ),but i could be wrong,perhaps it`ll be with when all the crew have resurected.....but i doubt it . *jumps for joy as the beach has finished on bbc choice ;) *,hehe |

:D yes the "multitalented" & "beautiful" claire grogan....... I suppose being scottish is one good point about her,some may say her music,i am not one of them :D I dont actually find her that annoying,much better than chloe annette (or whatever the fuck her name is)at playing her i suppose :D |

but gregorys girl is such a good film, it just wouldn't be the same without her! :) and don't forget she appeared in father ted with her great irish accent - more believeable than her scottish one :D |

Hehe....... I`m shocked to say though that I`ve never actually seen gregorys girl,don`t know why,just never felt inclined to watch it...............didn`t they make a sequal to that not long ago(think it was ment to be shite)? |

IIRC, the RedDwarf film is gonna have all new people playing the characters... i think it might be being funded by an American company and so it'll have a U.S cast :(( - might just be malicious gossip |
