Suppose you were preforming at an event. Would you have
live effects and a stage preformance going on like Afx's
dancing bears. What would they be? Richard has some pretty
obscure things going on while he is preforming this topic is
stupid.

Having a control box for the lights is always good and
manually making them flash/change pattern in time to the
music etc. is quite fun.

AS to dancers etc. I don't know what I'd have. I've only
played on a stage once and there was no space for dancers
there...

Once while richard was preforming he had a 7 foot tall
skinny guy in a toga and gold mask prance around the stage
while 3 midgets were bumping and grinding each other.

I suppose I would have to get an 8 foot tall guy wearing a
prostetic double penis and a marylin monroe mask. I think he
should be accompanied by a goat that randomly walks on stage
for no apearent reason.

I'd have dancers and caged monkeys. Fire breathing and some
crazy visuals going on. Plus a live sex show down the front
with people humping in time to the music. I'd want it to be
an outdoor one too. Everytime the bass hit a certain
frequency then fireworks would go off. I'd parachute into
the DJ booth at the beginning too. Oh and the live sex show
would be:

Eliza Dushku
Angelina Jolie
Christina Ricci
Shannon Elizabeth

in a free for all. Maybe I'd bring in Sylvia Saint too for
the hell of it. At the end of the show there'd be the best
lasers and fireworks show ever. Plus there'd be free Punch
and Pie.

That'd be my first ever gig. My last too. I'd be a legend :)

huge screen pouring out random art
Underworld Style
a couple of big "fuck off" lasers
(the kind that people look at and go "fuck off!")
and a couple of dancers, all of which would be dressed up in
strange space suit and have hair dyed in all types of silly
colors

the goat part = comedy

like it'll trot out every 20 mins, look around slowly
..stare at the crowd, look at the ground, and slowly walk
off stage.. maybe a stagehand could stand centerstage and
feed it milk occasionally

ceri,.. you have performed live shows? like what? were u
djing or was this a performance of original material? any
farm animals ?

I'd like to have morton dancing on stage, covered in
chocolate sauce with feathers sticking on him.

And the crowd would be sipping cappucinos and discussing
alternative medicine I suppose. You cant go spastic to that
artsy fartsy shit.

I like the idea of holding a concert in a large run down
house with the speakers pumping and the band in the corner,
I always go more mental at set up like that as apposed to
concerts

All sorts of wacky stuff would happen at my event. I would
just want to freak people out and show them how off the wall
I am and how square they are for not getting it. Idiots. How
dare they even begin to think that they could get my sense
of humour! I would leave the club triumphant knowing I'm the
best guy in the world and I'd go home and have a wank.

After bills message I dont feel like being so wacky anymore.
I think Id move the preformance to a dirty alley and play
electronica for all the hobos strung out on meth.

DJing, but doing lights at the same time.

I need a more powerful laptop before I can perform live :/

DIV have great visuals live as you said. Only Leftfield's
were as good.

when did u see them..

I'm not really sure what my take on DIV is though.. I was
really into their first album, because it reminded me of
that show, and a lot of drug-induced months to which that
served as part of the soundtrack (along w/ blackstar, roni
size and dj spooky/shadow) but a lot of it can be easily
dismissed (the half-raggae/dub horseshit) and I wasn't into
much of "the contino sessions" after the excellent 'dirge'
ended.. the little I've heard of 'scorpio rising' wasn't too
impressive at all... what do u think of them

i have danced on stage actually once for a monotrax set back
in 2000 or so.

as for performance, our girly electro project will be a
presentation for both eyes and ears.

well I loved 'rematerialized' (esp. live .. w/ the
underwater scenes on the big screen).. and 'all that
glitters' and a few others.. I never really listened to much
of 'contino sessions' tho

underpants pole dancing.

i have seen he best fucking afx stage show ever!

The time
Summer2000
The place
Dublins Temple Bar Music Center
The event
Rephlex Dsico Assault System brought over my the money
left to a Dublin student in his dead grannies will!

Why was it the best?
1. Afx whipped the crowd into a frenzy with his insane grin
and fist banging.. he was the un-shyest i ever heard of him
being
2. DJ Cylob dressed up as a banana for the entire gig and
danced his socks off.. i say he lost pounds in perspiration
3. There were in total about 20 Rephlex bods on stage having
a great time
4. 2 japanes schoolgirl types with pigtails were dancing as
well
5. Loadsa of squareousher (HND, bigloada type tunes)
6. Kosmic Kommand DJ´d some serious acid too!
Thje best giog i was ever at!

i would just play cds and dance with the crowd but i would
be on stage by myself

I saw them on the Scorpio Rising Tour.

Scorpio Rising takes a bit more getting into than the other
albums, but some tracks are absolute gems (Diving Horses,
Natja, Hands around my Throat).
I really like DIV, I wouldn't say I'm a big fan, but I'd
certainly see them again live.
