... I've been listening to 'a shocking hobby' and 'public energy #1' for some time now and I think Mr J is having this wonderfull effect on me. Many of you have compared him to Autechre in some threads (and I can understand why) but I find his style totally more refreshing and different than AE's. They are both really good at painting these abstract pictures with kick-ass rhythms and creative sounds. However I do find that J's beats are easier on the ears when compared to some Confield and Draft tracks... ...but I digress, my sheeba is taking hold now and its time to go write some tunes. |

Last august I saw him live doing a large piece of loudboxer. Damn it was dick hard techno. My pal and I moved up to the front and it was a dancing frenzy. When he was finished we shouted for more, allthough we couldnt do it anymore. Too tired. He played another 15 minutes and it was superb. :) And I got really motivated to work on my music since then. To go live in the near future. |

loudboxer is one of the best techno albums i've heard..... it's just amazing... anyone know any other artist doing the same type of thing? I would love to heard some more...... |
