Now that soulseek is down is there any other good place to
find good music. Looking for µ-Ziq and Autechre at the
moment.

Didn't she do the song for Twin Peaks?

Yup she did...the album is produced by Badalalalalalamenti,
and features Falling, The Nightingald and Into the Night. I
have the Twin Peaks CD, and a few tracks of her album on
mp3, and I likes it! I'm missing 2 goddam tracks!! BOO!!

Hmm, I might see if I can find it too. I like the song, even
if she is as ugly as a chimp's arse :)

i'm shocked that as highly as we on this message board
recommend the big artists like aphex, autechre, sqp, BoC,
plaid, mu-ziq, vsnares, jega, etc. that some of you STILL
insist on downloading all their stuff before buying it. for
fuck's sake. americans especially have no excuse, as most of
these cd's are all of $11-12 on bn.com and bestbuy.com (with
free shipping).

what's wrong with downloading it before buying, seeing as
that implies that the music will be bought anyways?

zaphodx eh?
titsworth: i agree with you on something! people on here
download way too much music and then don't buy and give
shitty excuses like "i'm a college student". so fucking
what?? if anyone on here saw zeus' topic on IDM artist
salaries they'd buy as many albums as possible because most
of these guys are making close to nothing, and what they do
make is put back into their equipment. buy music for christs
sake!

So these places are stocking planet-mu albums now?

i'm getting at two things: that a lot of people here don't
buy the music they download (and this is factual); and that
asides from rarities file-sharing networks shouldn't be the
place to accumulate the music of artists with such massive
reputations that you could just as well buy a cd based on
the countless peer recommendations on this site.

anyway where did slsk go?

actually, i bought a venetian snares album at best buy
yesterday. and almost all borders books and music sell loads
of this kind of music, not too mention most other genres.

IW: some mu releases are distributed by other labels in the
US, for example jega (matador). i picked up geometry finally
and it cost me $10.50 total. other mu releases aren't
licensed to other labels but are available domestically
nonetheless (vsnares, hrvatski) for about $14 each.

Thanks for the info. planet-mu doesn't seem to have a great
distribution network in the USA and even most of the
importers pass them up. Witness the lack of selection on
forcedexposure.com, although bentcrayon.com is better.

Ah, i was just referring to people who download music and
then buy it, not to people who download it and never buy it

i havent got many releases yet,
and i had my reasons for not buying...
- unavailability
- no job, spent all money on dope´n party
- not many perfect releases

i still only possess:
afx - ab3, caustic window compilation
aphex twin - windowlicker, girl/boy ep, drukqs (the only one
i bought before downloading)

i burned about 4 µ-ziq and autechre albums and 5
aphex-best-ofs
+ 5 aphex albums
i have all bogdan raczynski, aphex and squarepusher, µ-ziq,
dmx krew, but i dont think all is brilliant.
and i didnt appreciate all that i heard
at the first time 4 years ago...
at the moment i try to buy releases by most of these
artists, but my favs are unavailable quite often.

luckily i found a german site where i can get some fine
lp´s or cd´s,
finally i get samurai math beats, living in the 80´s, all
squarepusher i want and more...
"a-musik.com"
dont blame the ones that cant decide to buy everything...
they are fucked anyway if they finally try to get it and its
sold out...
besides many albums come out with so few copies, that it´s
artists own fault if they dont sell loads....

try ww.boomkat.com and www,warprecords.com/mart - easy to
buy rexcords from there also try staying in touch to know
when records come out and where you can buy them who
distributes them etc by looking at the labels website for
details..no excuse now,

i already got some from boomkat...

miss some older releases,
which i luckily found on
a-musik.com...

i definately keep in touch now.
