I know people normally dont dance to the sort of music we
discuss here. But do any of you dance to glitch (whatever
the hell you want to call it) when its being played at an
event, club, or what not? What kind of danceing is it?

When I went to Coachella I had the oppertunity to see
Squarepusher. I noticed that there was hardly anyone in the
tent dancing except for me and this other guy busting rave
moves or pop.

Even when I went to see Afx preform at ATP the dancing was
far and inbetween, mostly headnodding. I did noticed some
people having a hard time keeping up with the tempo, others
trying to find their own rythm, and a few had just abondoned
traditional dancing and moved thier body as if they were
going spastic. heh heh.

When I saw ae tour for Confield people danced to the deejay
sets that opened the show but of course when ae came on
everyone just stood there. A couple of guys banged their
heads like they were at a metal show.

now come on for gods sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you just cannot dance to most songs
in IDM
there are a few songs that you can dance to
but in general IDM is """BRAIN DANCE""" not """BODY DANCE"""

Its nice to move to unconventional music like that. Its
makes the action of cutting loose so much more intense. Im a
pretty reserved guy, but when I get the oppertunity to let
go I take it. After it all I feel so much better for weeks.

Yes, in order to dance to confield you need a minimum of
five years modern dance instruction, or no bones and a
vibrating bed.

Im sure you mean you cant dance a waltz to most braindance.
The body is an extension of the mind. You just have to move,
how you do it is up to you. Whether you want to call it
dancing is up to you.

Pop blocking sounds like one of those football moves I don't
understand because I have the heart of a young girl.

I beleive its really called pop-locking. Its sort of like
the robot, but without the limitede range of motion. You
either make you body seem to move liquidly or you lock your
joints when you move. Its reletive to breakdancing.

Its also called: pop(in) and lock(ing)

...at least from my neck of the woods

More people should dance to "IDM", glitch, drum/drill and
bass, the world would be a much better place to live in
