I bought this piece of shit for my PS2 last night. I
thought it would be fun to build a guy in the image of
myself and then control him. But all I got was some manic
depressive incontinent narcoleptic. Nothing like me at all.
They're too fucking needy. Does anyone know how to play this
game?

hmm, send them to the john when they need to pee, give them
food when they're hungry, that's about it basically...

try to let them learn things such as playing piano, dancing,
etc...

I can't give that much tips since I also deinstalled this
piece of junk after a clown annoyed my sim to death.

There must be some strategy towards it. The game just looks
like a fancy tamagotchi. I mean, come on. I'm sitting in a
house playing a game about a guy sitting in a house!
Where's the excitement in that?

curiosity maybe? controlling a guy remotely? replacing a
non-existing pet for a computer character?
it's hard to tell actually...
I borrowed the game from a mate, he claimed the game is just
great, I saw online fanclubs for this game and so I tried it
out.
it's kind of fun at first but it really gets boring after a
few attempts.
well, you still have the chance to sell it on second
market...

I'm not going to sell it. I'm going out into my back yard to
build a pyre and burn the fucker. £40 it cost me. I feel
cheated.

I used to play this a lot. I even made my own skins, floors
wallpapers etc.

Sad Fact: I gave my last girlfriend an addon pack for the
sims that I made that. Our houses were in it and also skins
of us, our carpets, pictures, etc.

I got bored of it after a while though.

Well, no matter how sad I think I was for buying it in the
first place it pales into insignificance to that sorry tale.
You've cheered me up ceri.

glass_eater, you articulate my pain so well. I think I'm
getting old. Every new game I buy leaves me feeling emptier
and emptier. Games are meant to be escapism, a journey into
a different world - being a gangster, driving fast cars,
flying spaceships etc. I sat at home playing the Sims and I
had an epiphany - what is the point of sitting alone in your
flat playing a game about a guy sitting alone in his flat?
God, my life is leading nowhere.

the only thing that was a little bit fun was designing your
own house with the money cheat on, but it all looks the same
after a while... and killing the ppl and stuff

but its such a crap game, and the way they cash in on the
succes is horrible

All right then. We'll turn this shit into one of those oh so
fucking obvious topics that the braindead contigent enjoy to
participate in.

If you could put anyone in the Sims house who would it be
(fucking hell) and what would happen (please forgive me)?

What am I doing with my life? Oh god I'm so so sorry.

Keeping on topic, The Sims is one of the saddest games to
own ever.
