''perhaps you should introduce her
to some of the BEAUTIFUL (i know i'm setting myself up for a
thrashing) piano tracks on Drukqs......or some Church Music
*hint hint*''

Are you hinting at Freescha, Slower than Church Music? If
so, good point, how could chicks not dig THAT album? That
gives me and my manhood an idea.

I can understand why a "normal" person may see having "our
type of music" in your CD on par with having prints of
gunshot wounds/torture on your walls.

It's something so alien to them that it does sound quite
literally like "noise". As people pointed out I think the
trick is to introduce them slowly- get them on the more
dancy stuff, prodigy/chemical brothers etc. then softer IDM-
flim, vltrmx etc. before letting them hear snares and normal
Ae...

the whole problem w/ this lady is that she isnt open minded
- i personally wouldnt want to be anywhere near ANYONE that
close minded - at least she could ask why you like it, what
it does for you, or something

boot that bitch to the curb

Even if people have different musical (or food or art or
whatever) tastes, it's nice to have someone who doesn't slag
the ones you like off all the time :)

I actually hide my METAL MACHINE MUSIC cd by Lou Reed,
because while it's a guilty pleasure, I can understand that
sociologically somebody else listening to that music/noise
could have some severe repercussions about my status lol. I
mean, seriously any simple people would think I'm crazy for
listening to that.

But my sophistication is well worth having those idiots tell
me that I'm insane.

Schematic's Lilly of the Valley comp is always good for
starters. Gridlock's Trace is nice, or anything by Arovane.
And Tri Repete is pretty soothing, of course.

The other week i showed my ex :( gantz graff. I put it on
and left her in the room. i came back just as the song was
ending and her jaw was nearly hitting the floor :) she
hadn't moved at all and was standing in the same spot. She
couldn't comprehend it at all. The look on her face was
priceless tho!

Anyway if you really like her then definately try to sort
things out. maybe she'd had a bad day too. Hope it goes well
for ya
