i'll bump this thread before or at the start of my show,
but i wanted to announce that my weekly show begins
tomorrow. unfortunately the station staff are being little
bitches and gave me a 10 AM sunday morning slot out of
spite. perhaps i can explain the whole story some other
time. but 10AM to Noon Sundays (Eastern Standard Time) IS my
weekly timeslot.

i know a lot of you aren't up at that time of morning. i
know i wouldn't be if i had a choice. but for you "britons"
and anyone else, i'd appreciate your listening.

for better or worse there will be a lot less hip-hop this
year cos i can't get away with some of the curses i let
slide last year cos my show was after 10PM (FCC says it's ok
between 10PM and 6AM). also, hip-hop REALLY doesn't go over
well at 10 in the morning. i know i'm not in the mood to
listen to it when i roll out of bed.

things to expect this semester besides less hip-hop:
-a show dedicated to xltronic artists (sometime this month
or next)
-favorite song transitions from last school year (blends
that worked out really well)
-new music from the likes of vsnares, massive attack, the
roots, common, and hrvatski, and some old cd's i bought
recently from people like neil young, arab strap, and jega

my show tomorrow will honor a request from roygbiv, play
some tori, portishead, bjork, 2 unsigned artists (one from
my college, one from IRC), cex, richard devine, joy
division, FSOL, morricone. it'll also pay tribute to
stereolab and the clash who've had members pass on since my
last show.

to tune in tomorrow click here

sorry for the long read but that's what's up.

no i don't repeat songs in a school year, sorry.. you'll
prolly miss this one too (i tried to fit it into my last
show but i had an overlap of like 10 songs, oops) but it's
"kid a"

oh! ok... what time would that be for central time... 9-11?

the implications are rammifying

i just couldn't remember what requests i had made, thats
cool man!

for central time that's right..

for anyone else who wants to figure out what time it's on
for you, E.S.T. is -5:00 (minus 5 hours) G.M.T., look at
your computer clock to see what you are, factor the
difference..

your horrible time slot will probably ensure that I'll be
able to listen to it at a decent hour of the day, ironically
enough.

I'll probably be able to give it a listen, too, since I'll
be miserable and grieving tomorrow. Spookyluke --> Poor,
Sad Luke!

haha you're playing, like, confield and winterbelly. Pretty
uneasy listening for sunday morning! Here I was listening to
some nice easy listening David Sylvian.

And now what's this, sounds like Chris de Burgh's Spaceman
Came Traveling? Oh, is that Tori Amos?

This is Tits? Heh. He's so softly spoken :D

I'm getting some sort of feedback over here which is lending
his voice a rather eerie, scary edge...

*glad when the music starts again*

cheers for listening guys. i would've popped on earlier but
in addition to giving me one of the worst timeslots
available, they gave me an apprentice DJ with poor personal
hygeine, which made tutoring her on the do's and don'ts of
djing that much more irritating. she's gone now though, but
i'll be seeing her on shows #2 and 3.

the song after rakim was common w/ jill scott "i am music"
from electric circus. production by the soulquarians.

the "january"/"winter" bit would've been better 2 days ago
but yea it was a fun transition.

current song is a slicker remix of telefon tel aviv from
their new EP :)
