[1] When you upload a new avatar, and then you go to
topics, is it the new avatar all the time? Or you have to
wait some minutes/hours?
[2] Also when someone claims he/she has a new avatar do you
see it immediately or you need some time to have it
refreshed?

On this computer it takes forever to see the new avatar, I
had this trouble just now. At work it shows up fine but I
have to delete my cookies because I can't login sometimes.

wait for both (mozilla, with cache set to load "when page
expires")

[1] i always have to right-click on my avatar and put
'reload picture'... what's a bit strange is that sometimes
when i upload a new picture, i don't see the one i had
before loading (new - 1) but the one even before (new - 2)!
:)
[2] depends. sometimes i have to relod, sometimes not. i
guess 66% of the time i don't have to.

in this case i think i need to do some repair. let's see if
it works. i will ask this question sometime in the future
again :)

OK I made this change to the engine. And I changed my
avatar. Is it grayscale for everyone? It is for me.
If any of youhave a little time please test this. It is a
little trick so the browser's cache engine will think every
image is different here.
I hope it won't slow down the page loading time.

i'm sorry but i think this is unneccesary waste of
bandwidth... slows a bit and on modem it's not too nice.

hahaa, animated gifs used to be in sync... now i see two
raimos in a row swinging in different rhythm...

Another tip for refreshing your avatar in Mozilla.

Right-click your avatar, choose 'View image, refresh, click
Back.

Done.

I think the size limit for avatars should be 3gb

animated gif's.
