The second annual Ether festival at the South Bank Centre
will run from 8th - 14th March 2003.

As part of the festival, on March 8th, the Royal Festival
Hall will play host to a special collaboration between the
London Sinfonietta and Warp Records. The Sinfonietta
conducted by Stefan Asbury, will perform works by Aphex
Twin, Boards of Canada and Squarepusher alongside some of
the foremost avant-garde composers of the 20th century;
Gyorgy Ligeti, Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, Conlon
Nancarrow and Charles Ives.

Mira Calix will also perform her Nunu piece live with the
Sinfonietta. Nunu is a piece she composed exclusively using
recordings of insect noises; from wasps, flies, larvae
hatching, butterflies beating etc.

Warp videos will be shown during the half-time interval and
visual work will be provided by Flat–E and Bluespoon +
there is talk of a special guest DJ to contiune the party
later into the night - check back for more info soon.
