Warp sent me......

offline KEYFUMBLER from DUBLIN (Ireland) on 2003-01-28 04:57 [#00531230]
Points: 5696 Status: Lurker

What i ordered...(all on vinyl)
Caustic Window Compilation... fucking class!!!!!!!

Drukqs!! I especially like how 2 of the 4 LPs are 45rpm so
you can slow those lovely beats down to 33rpm!

AND
Do you know Squarepusher, which i already got!!!!!!!! I was
hoping for their sampler CD which they bloody advertise as
being sent with orders over 50 quid.... oh well........
Maybe i´ll think of a competiton here to give away that
DYKS album

Man that's unfair. Warp must hate me. I order quite often
and they keep sending me that Plaid car sticker thing. They
sent me a Red Snapper record once and that's about it for
freebies. Do I have to request them or something. Or is it
only stuff above a certain price?

offline xceque on 2003-01-28 05:06 [#00531264]

In addition to me actually buying the CD version of Do You
Know Squarepusher, Warp have sent me, in various orders, as
freebies, the DYKS so-called 'manifesto', DYKS
stickers/postcars, the regular vinyl version of DYKS, two
vinyl promos of DYKS and a test pressing of DYKS. Do you
think they've got too many?

I dunno... my order came to bout £30 (a few Ae ep's) and
there was some Gantz graf promo card in there too. I dont
really listen to the APC disc much though. Not my cup of tea
but if Warp would like to send Draft 7.30 promos out with
orders Im sound as a puppy... ;)

Xceque! Thats the feeling i got!

Knowbody loves the pusher more than me and i really love
this album despite the lack of love on this board.

I think Warp are being a bit silly. They sent be a "Music is
Rotted" sampler the last time.. despite it being relatively
old....... howver .. it IS free and cheap so, fuckit....
bring it on.

apart from xceque, who seems to have an inside line on warp
promo stuff, i think in general warp decrease the amounts of
freebies as you become a more established customer. when you
start ordering they give you quite a bit to entice you into
ordering more, and once they have you hooked they cut off
the supply :)

they mostly send vinyl as goodies, and those are a different
shape etc. etc.

Freebies I've recieved from warp:

lots of stickers- many of which are now on my
flightcase.

BoC- Geogaddi single sided 12" promo (old school warp
sleeve)

Jim Tenor - Total Devastation CD.

Dammit I order less than a lot of people here and they get
loads. I must be in the void of ordering enough to not be
classed as needing incentives and not ordering enough to be
rewarded :(

Giginger...... Warp are always nice to me! Must be the luck
o the irish or something.

. the best they did for me was they sent me 3 cd´s instead
of 3 LPs once and said.. "why, send us back the astrobotnia
cd and we´ll send ya the 3 LPs... keep the other CD´s"
So....I got Vic Acid CD AND vinyl!
DYKS CD AND Vinyl
AND the Astrobotnia 1 LP!!!!

Speaking entirely as a member of the public who really
really honestly doesn't have any connection to warp... It
seems if you order frequently you're more likely to get
freebies I think. Sort of a reward for being a regular. It
also seems to help to have a memorable name so that you're
more easily noticed.
Try editing your warpmart account so that your parcels are
addressed to 'Dave PinkPoo Swarzenegger Smith' :p

that's sounds like a good idea xceque! might give it a go.
i've been a regular orderer for about 5 years, and in
general all i get these days are stickers, postcards and
flyers, and that's with vinyl or cd orders.
on the other hand, mart are always very good to me when a
mistake has been made, or even sometimes when i just beg!
many's an unavailable rarity has been sent my way...

I should be getting about a hundred bucks as grade card
money. I'm considering getting something on vinyl. I have
nothing. :(
Feel bad for me!
I think for now i'll browse the warpmart and look at vinyls.
is Draft 7.30 coming out on vinyl? I'll probably buy that
one, on vinyl and CD.
I know the sound is better, richer. I just can't buy vinyl
in my area, or I would. :(
anyone think warpmart is worth ordering from--i hate
ordering things online.

Pound sterling is the English pound. Punt (Irish for pound)
WAS the Irish pound.
