Now all this info I have read is ONLY rumors and NOTHING has been confirmed, as far as I know. Starting to sound like GOOD RUMORS though...: From the Coachella Message Board:: "Coachella WILL take place April 26th and 27th. The Polyphonic Spree will be performing on Sunday, the 27th. " From a small Radiohead site: "Rumors are starting to fly around 2003's Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, the closest event America has to Europe's ever-popular festival culture. The dates have not been made official but sources won't confirm or deny that it's the weekend of Apr 26. Hotel prices in the Indio-Palm Springs area, where the event takes place on polo fields deep in the palm tree shrouded desert, have already been hiked up for that weekend and places are filling up quickly. My inititial reaction to coachella 2001: "its.. its so beautiful :')" I always wanted to go camping there. They have some nice camping spots in the area. Itd be so cool to take the party back to your campsite and go fucking mental. |

Oh man, you HAVETA go, I only did not go LAST YEAR cause it was over 2 days and I couldnt get both off from work. The other 2 years before that ( 1 day events ) were completely unbelievable. |

Yeah that would be sweet, The last couple times I went, the show was only 1 day, but there is a HUGE HUGE grassfield I would imagine they would use for camping. I would be pissed if they made you pay for a spot... Either way Ill be there!!!=) |

There are a tone of sites, some are really great. I found a few by a "river", Im sure there are some naturey spots there. I think theres an Indian reservation there as well. |

i went when squarepusher played-- i was a bit dissappointed boys. not in the music, the talent there was high. but its made out to be a festival, and i really didn't get that vibe. for one, there's no where to just sit out, and there's not much else going on. it's on the move from one tent to the other. lots of passed out kids getting kicked. then, on the last note, eveyone's pushed out the gate -- i slept in a van on the grass field, and when we woke up, 3000 vehicles had dwindled to about 15. maybe the afterhours were in the campground, but they weren't there. everyone road trippin. then again LA must be the intoxicated driving capitol of the world. |

OH MY F-ING GOD!! Guess what the hell happened.... I was at work last night...Graveyard 9pm-5am...and I am listening to KROQ ( Probably the BIGGEST "Alternative music" stations in the entire US, out of LA... Anyways they are giving away tix to this years show, and wwouldnt you know it...I WAS CALLER 20!!!! I WON EM!! I get: Passes for two for BOTH days!!=) A hotel room for the night...=) ANNNDD...we get taken to and FRO on a huge party bus....=) Oh man isnt that sooo cool... I am sorry I am NOT bragging, but damn Ive never won anything before... So IronLung will once again for his 3 year, be AT COACHELLA.... SO I am in a GREAT MOOD this morning... =) |
