Has anyone used such tools before.

i own on cd.

well.

Stanton has a great budget-pack released some time ago, wich
includes 2 players, a mixer, headphones and a case for
everything... Here in sweden you can get it for around
600£. Check it out! I bet hardtofindrecords in UK have it
at a similiar price, or even lower.

It´s great fun mixing cd´s... :)

i've got a pair of pioneer cdj 100s decks.
definitely recommended.
i'd stay away from those cheap all-in-one double deck plus
mixer setups, they're known to have a fairly short lifespan.

I've used several different ones- I didn't pay much
attention to the models, but steer clear of Kam ones- the
anti-shock is gash. Pioneer ones seem to be best (I've
played on 2 different models and they were both good).

Blipseed is right about avoiding all in ones- get both decks
in one by all means, but get a seperate mixer.

Re: where to buy- have a look at Hard to Find records to get
an idea of models etc. by all means, but buy mail order from
magazines- far cheaper... try getting I-DJ, Sound on Sound
etc. magazines and ordering from ads in them.

Hope that helps. Let us know which ones you choose!
