do you know a scarier track than this one? with the undecipherable voices, all the sounds like coming from the underworld, all these unknown, creepy sounds... i can't help thinking of something like, assisting to a mysterious and evil ritual (involving human sacrifices probably) in a very dark room, in a catacomb or a crypt or hell or such a place, underground, pitch-dark... sorry for the cliché but this track is really one of those that make me think aphex is a musical genius (and i usually wouldn't say that of him). when listened in a pitch-black room, alone, SAWII is one of the best albums ever. useless post, i know, but i wanted to say this. there are only, maybe two or three tracks, among all i know which i consider as scary. no one comes close to this one. |

...I don't know, it's "songs" like this one and 'white blur' that lead me to believe much of this collection is very tongue-in-cheek. either that or this was ricky james' ambient mastur[batory]work, breaking new ground for artistic self-indulgence |
