geocities is linked up with yahoo now...
you make a yahoo mail name for what you would want the
extension to be (if your name was NACMATISSEXY, it would be
geocities.com/NACMATISSEXY)

xltronic: where ideas can hang out, and do what ever!

Yay!

you can do it!

You WIN!

nacmat, get a copy of dreamweaver, that way you dont have to
manually code everything, then in the code editor you can
take out the unnessisary bits and slim it down, and tweak it
a bit even

If you can get your hands on it Nacmat, download a free
30-day trial of Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX (it's a hefty
download at 40MB) and that is a good way to learn how to
make webpages because you can design them visually, and then
look at the code behind the webpage to understand and learn
the tag structure of HTML.

netscape composer lets you do (very) simple webpages.
enough for the home user i'd say but nothing more. i used it
for mine.
the most simple site ever, but on the very bottom you can
find a href="http://www.8ung.at/schoefbeck/dumbo.html">link to
some pics of my cute bunny!

you don't need to know HTML.....it takes too much time. get
netscape composer and it will do ALL the HTML for YOU!

it's a free program and my BF swears by it, and he's been
doing web pages since 1999! i plan on making a web page, i
just need to light a fire under my BUM and get busy. i wanna
display some of my art and pictures from my travels!

good luck

Netscape composer is alright. I actually used it to make my
first webpage. Sicne then i'm moved on, but it's good for a
beginner. It's similar to using a word processor.

xlr what do you use NOW, just so i can keep it in mind for
the future????

i'm a SUPER beginner, so it will work for me now. i need to
get busy with this.....i have to set a DUE date for me so i
won't waste my time.

Well I'm horribly bad at HTML, so I can only hand-code the
most basic of stuff. I use dreamweaver, which someone
mentioned above. It's a tad pricey, if you buy it legally,
:/
