what's the deal with this?

for about 2 or 3 months if you go to www.nin.com all you get
is the NIN logo....it seems to change colour from day to
day, but that's all....no other content

People have speculated that it is a site redesign, therefore
new content.....new content being info about new material
and the like

But going by Trent's track record of insanely lengthy
periods between releases, I don't think that the new
material will be done any time soon

It's been about 4 years since the last release (Things
Falling Apart doesn't count)

I'd be very surprised if any new material is close to
completion because he's been doing stuff for id Software,
Zach de la Rocha (or whatever his name is, i'm not into
RATM) and he's been doing stuff for Tapeworm, not to mention
probably countless other little projects and stuff

I just don't think we'll be seeing anything for a long time
to come

What do you all think?

I'm looking forward to his "back to the roots"
approach....because according to him there's gonna be less
use of guitars, more use of synths

back to the days of PHM i hope!!!

I love Pretty Hate Machine, but I think that Id be
disappointed it he went back to sounding exactly like that.
I think its better for an artist to grow and change with
themselves--for example, take a look at how Tori Amos has
changed over the years. None of her albums sound the same,
bnut they are all very very Tori Amos.

I like that. ;)

oh yeah, i don't mean like going back to the exact same
sound

what i meant by going back to his roots was his choice of
instuments...i think that it will be a very very good album

about Tori Amos, i don't personally claim to have heard much
of her work, but I do know that her work doesn't follow a
consistent style, and that's what I like about Trent's work,
every track is different

ahhh okay, I see. :D

You should check out Chorigirl Hotel or Under the Pink. :)
All of her albums are great (except maybe Y Kant Tori
Read--ahhh!), but those are some of the best.

Hell, just download a bunch of Tori. :)

i'll try to get some, thanks :)

all i really know about her is that she and Trent had a
"thing" a while back

dunno if that's rumor or truth, but i could picture those
two being an item

i can't wait to see if Trent and Robert Smith do some work
together....That'd be brilliant!!!

trent is dead, and the other people don't want us to know it
but still have closed the site, by mourning... maybe.
