Poll... poll... poll...

Do you think is better the quality of tracks on Ae's ep or
tracks on Ae's lp?

Think well 'cos it's isn't an easy question.

\/\/.

I think quality of ep tracks by Ae is really, really good...
maybe better than album.
I'm thinking to garbage, envane, gantz graf...
Everytime Ae release an ep, it isn't a joke.

I personally enjoy albums. Singles are great too, but
albums usually have a certain style to them, and it adds to
the great overall feeling of the release.

you're right about those ep's.. but think about lp5, amber,
confield, tri repetae ..

guess all their stuff is of good quality :)

ep: they experiment with a new direction

lp: they confirm that new direction and make it coherent as
a whole album

(this is important, to understand ep7 as an ep)

i think this doesn't count for Gantz Graf and Draft 7:30
though..

..according to what i heard about the new album

definetly albums,ae are so complicate you can't have a good
idea of what they're doing until you don't listen to a
proper album...but some eps contain really good tracks such
as cichli suite

Some EPs out do their LPs (e.g. Anvil Vapre and Garbage vs.
Amber) and vice versa (Confield vs. ep7 and Gantz Graf).

IMHO :)

i agree with you as well nacmat...

if i hadn't heard AeP (Anti EP), i'd say their lps are
better, but AeP is just so good...

i have:
cichlisuite - average
ep7 - ok
lp5 - good
gantz graf - good
AeP - excellent
amber - excellent
confield - excellent

You're missing ENVANE... it's really good, go to buy it
immediately :)

Lp´s are, IMO, far better than EP´s.

I find it very hard to comprehend why so many of you dig
Garbage. I find it booooring!

garbaga boring??

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

please give it more tries... its an excellent ep.

really amber was great but it doesnt have the overall
cohesion that garbage has

cohesion that garbage has" :)

Anyway cohesion or not cohesion, garbage is a great ep but
amber is a masterpiece, imo.
If they released amber+garbage in the same album, probably
it was my fav Ae release of all times.

LOL

you got me there my friend.... :D

but thats what I think, and thats why I remembered that
article, cos when I read it I thought it described exactly
what I thought.

anyway dont missanderstood me, I love amber...its one of muy
favs too

ehehhe :)

Anyway I'm not agree about a lot of things in that autechre
review, especially when he said to skip Leterel in Tri
Repetae. Leterel is a great track, imo.

its only an opinion article...its normal that we dont agree
in everything with it... I dont either

I think I like EPs. The LPs rock, but the EPs tend to be
slightly more memorable. (except the EPs that suck: gantz
graf)

CapIV from Gantz Graf is wonderful.
