COLDPLAY! was funktabulous, they sang everything from Parachutes to Rush of blood to the head and two new ones. I was the only one standing up. singing, screaming and dancing in my section of old farts. I loved it, and my seat was perfect too. |

well i missed ladytron (due to the massive SNOW dump in the DC area that shut down the airports so i couldn't fly home for dayssssss =/) however i did see GODSPEED and what an amazing show. i was right up front, as a matter of fact i got bonked in ze head by someone opening his kit (he apologized, it didn't hurt) and just watched in amazement all the musicians playing their instruments. anyone who can, try try to go see this amazing band in concert, the hours FLEW by, i was completely enthralled. next concert.....sigur ros in new orleans end of march!! |

i'll update this as well...... Sigur Ros w/The Album Leaf - again a great show! the sound was great, the video was pretty cool (not fantastic) and the DRUMMER was OUT of this WORLD! holy smokes he was possessed......i took a few pictures and IF (and thats a BIG IF) they come out i'll post a link. it was packed, and aside from mixing drink noises, a bar brawl, and standing for 5 hours......i really enjoyed myself! i will say this......it's really important you go with people who like the MUSIC.....i went with someone who was less than enthusiastic for SR and it was a REAL drag =/ up next should be a festival show.....bonnaro? it's gonna be in nashville.....with a line up to die for (i'll get the link when i'm not so tired)! my friend wants me to go to the jazz festival in new orleans (but i don't really know if i wanna go with 'him' to another concert ever again) anyway.......RADIOHEAD will be touring and me and 'ze boy' will be going to a couple shows.......i hope ......i hope .....i hope =0) |

bonnarroo festival has a bunch of gayass hippie jam bands but it also has these amazing acts: neil young & crazy horse the roots sonic youth tortoise blackalicious james brown i think that's convincing enough for me to go... :) |

UPDATE - i have another Radiohead and hopefully BJORK to see yet this summer. i'd love to see The Roots somewhere, Tortoise, and Blackalicsious, but i think i missed my opportunity when they didn't show at the festival show! =/ |

yeah why the hell are the good bands that titsowrth mentioned going to that shit hippe jam band fest? i never understood that myself. out of all the ones i listed in the beginning of the year i only saw godspeed haha. incredible show though, and i saw sonic youth too but i didnt know about that one for sure then. next for me: the locust\wolf eyes+more july21st. i doubt ill see radiohead because itll be uber expernsive probably. |
