I sucks for most adults. Kids however can pick up languages
easily. And babies are even smarter. They can learn a
language just by looking at you. Babies are geniuses

I have been in Chile 8 months and I still can't speak
spanish properly. I can read fine, and I can understand
about half of what they say on the news, but speaking or
understanding people.. I just panic. Everyday I study and
listen to the radio but still I can't quite get there. Is it
possible to be too stupid to learn another language. Does
anyone have any tips?

I can speak Latin, but I desperately need to pick a third
language to learn, one that people still speak. I've spent
the past 5 years utterly torn between choosing French,
Italian, or Spanish. No idea. I'll probably be indecisive
forever, and learn nothing.

i speak icelandic, english and danish well and i've been
taking spanish for 3 years so it's ok too although i really
haven't used it for a while.

If you understand either danish, swedish or norwegian i
think you can understand them all although you might not be
able to speak them all. To me they're almost the same
language with different pronounciation. Norwegian makes most
sense i think.

When the scandinavian nations meet to discuss something the
finnish people and icelandic people are always a bit out of
things because those languages are so different from the
other 3.

something about French, can read and understand what's
written. Can't speak French. wish i could. I wanna learn
Hungarian, Finnish. Swedish, Norwegian, Deutcsh, Danish,
Dutch, Japanese... Icelandic..

I speak english, some german and some russian. As for the
ones I'm interested in, the list is nearly endless! Aside
from continuing to improve my russian and german, I'd like
to learn arabic, hebrew, turkish, irish gaelic and mandarin.
Really ought to pick up spanish too...

English, and quite a bit of French and German and in the
process of learning Greek. Think it's about time I get back
in touch with my roots!
