phrases & words in korean & japanese. i'm planning on taking
courses in japanese and russian next year.

i wish i knew all the languages so i could talk to anyone
=)

I would like to learn any other language. Japanese would be
first on my list though.

Would very much like to visit that country sometime in my
life.

I speak english, and some Italian.

I want to learn italian fluently, or as much as possible.

Also, french and russian interest me.

I am almost fully fluent in spanish

I know some shawnee tribal language

I would like to learn more though, Id like to learn italian
and japanese

My uncle can speak german, he tought me some simple stuff,
like hello, goodbye, how are you, but that was about it.

To learn a language you have to be around people you can
commonly talk to who also understand it, thats the hard part
I think.

interested in fenno-ugrian languages, such as hungarian or
estonian - i'm thinking of taking them as my minor in uni
(if i ever get in). also russian would be cool to know.

i'd love to speak japanese
but im kind of discouraged, because i heard from some guy
who is now living in japan for a long time that he
understood first sentence in japanese after a year- before
that he could only understand some words.
so apperantly it takes a lot of time, and i doubt i'll be
alive for as long as it would take me to learn the language
;)

i know english..
then i took two years of spanish in high-school.
..then i tried to watch "gremlins 2: the new batch"
with the cable box set to 'spanish'..
i could sort of understand tiny little bits of it..
or at least recognise it..
..the other day i heard this nice hispanic fellow named
alfredo speaking spanish on a cell phone to another
spanish-speaking fellow.. i could recognise most of the
phrases but since i hadn't actually used the language for so
long.. the meaning wasn't there anymore..

i just suck ass at learning. but i don't think anyone can
learn or remember any language very well unless they have
some consistent reason to be using it..
