I'm STILL thinking about getting an instrument, but
now I don't know weather to get a cello or a keyboard =os

I could probably have more fun with a keyboard, but I like
the cello too

HELP!

I used to play double bass, but I find you can get a better
tune out of the cello.

I used to play violin too but my arm got too lazy =os

i play bass, and while yeah, it can be fun, ultimatly, it
isnt as satisfying, because there is only so much you can
really do with it. it has a role... and a rather limited
role.

and ok, so you can push the boundries... but in the end, the
keyboard is infinatly more verstile.

feel like diddlying out a melody?, some chords? feel like
playing a piano sonata?

and with keyboards, you can imitate other sounds, so its not
like you are stuck with a piano...

alot more room for creativity.

again, nothing against the cello (i love strings) but if you
want to be able to express yourself in a wide variety of
ways... go for the keyboard

unless you love the cello more then life...

if you get a keyboard you can press button 54 which is a
cello sound, then with your other arm play the 'air' cello
hence solving the dilema. thankyou and goodbye. :)

i'd say, get a cello... some nice music software, and a
nice microphone.. that way.. you can sample your cello
playing, mix it with other things, or fuck with the sound..
there many many more possibilites than playing just a
keyboard, or just a cello

I eat the kebab with great effort you can really make some
nice sounds.

Anyways, my girlfriend plays the cello and I can sample her
if I want to.

they rule!!!

i m still trying to build one...

I'd rather build a theremin than buy one.
Plenty of tutorials on how to do it floating around the
'net, too. The biggest challenge I think would be finding
time and supplies.

=oO

WOW !!

I always wanted an electric violin like vanessa mae when I
was a kid.

I've still got my violin actually =os Dread to think what
noises I would produce if I tried to play it now though !

If I got a cello I'd have to start from scratch again cause
it's been so long. I used to be able to read music and
compose and shit, but i'm totally clueless now
