anyone downloaded it yet? i want some discussion on this
album... it's quite IDM influenced me thinks. my fave tracks
are future proof, what your souls sings, special cases, name
taken and antistar. sinead o'connors voice fits perfectly
with the new ma style!

I think they peaked at Mezanine.

The new album is cold, unemotional and very anti climatic.

It also lacks the awesome tones of Daddy G. - Kind of a big
dissapointment after as long as it took to make.

and i don't think this album is a disappointment but more as
a new direction. there was only one member of the previous
three working on this album so yeah, it's got to have an
impact. the next album will have daddy g back on board as
well as contributions from mos def and tom waits.

i just got this album last week. Never heard anything from
it until my first listen all the way through. Its very, very
nice. Not as dark or polished as mezzanine, but still great.
No-one does sex music quite like massive attack. Muhuhaha

attention to distinguishing how dark or polished 100th

no. They were brilliant. The scene has ended. They have
stopped being interested in producing music apart from
three-d. The tracks were all pretty old by time they got
them out. Mezzanine reminds me of a portion of my life in
Bristol. I enjoyed but easily can't forget.

Massif were around alot longer than anyone seems to give
them credit .

Maybe it it just me getting old.

Normally I am Techno, Techno, techno but they are one of the
only bands where the lyrics seem to affect, count

i like the album, but it just pisses me off how often it's

wonder if it will live up to the levels of anticipation
generated by their absence of over 10years?

what copy protection?

if you rip it using a Mac, there's no such thing as copy

AAC files

interesting that a band live massive, who have traditionally
relied on sampling (essentially piracy) in order to create
their music would allow their album to be copy protected..

i know its only a loose connection - but it was simply a
passing thought i chose to share..

yeah, it is a bit hypocritical of them

but then again, i don't think it would have been the band's
decision - it most probably was the label's decision

i guess those are the kind of compromises you have to make
if you want to keep your major label sweet.

i bought it right when it came out, but i lost it so i had
to download it anyways. anyways, i don't know why i
bothered, i pretty much think it's crap. but i do kind of
like the first song, not so much for the song itself but for
the production i guess. sounds pretty good. guess that's
what happens when you've got money; your stuff can sound
pretty good.

This album contains the track "Everywhen", that alone grants
100th Window UNTOUCHABLY CLASSIC status.

Yeah, this album sucked. Luckily it was only 3D.

Massive attack actually plans to get together for more
albums. Don't know if danny the dog counts.

Its funny though, cause digital production seems to be
killing icons from the predigital era of producion.

this album is very much a grower, for those who are saying
its crap I recomend a few listens

I dodnt buy it in 2003 when it came out cos I was
disspaointed by it... but now I like it a lot

its not as good as the others thats trues but its still
pretty above average in trip hop world

I finally bought it in late 2004

The biggest mistake on this album was employing Sinead
O'Connor... especially afte the sublime vocals of Elizabeth
Fraser on Mezzanine.
