torture is pure evil. maybe the most evil thing I can
imagine. real people died in this invention, can you
imagine? I wonder which creature in earth's history suffered
the most pain.

This is pointless. Anyone who grew up on Iron Maiden will
agree that they kick ass.

Iron Maiden invented the galloping rhythm that later became
thrash. Their album Piece of Mind has some of the best metal
and silliest lyrics ever. Barreling down a steep endless
hill, whether on motorcycle, skateboard or bicycle, becomes
an ecstatic experience when you're listening to the song
Where Eagles Dare.

Everything after Piece of Mind stinks. So they have two,
possibly three good albums if you happen to like their
debut.

To this day, whenever I hear Iron Maiden my leg suddenly
rises up of it's own accord and plants itself on the nearest
monitor substitute

Here's a boring anecdote: my old Business Studies teacher
was once in a pub with some mates and they ended up talking
to this other group of guys and drank all night together and
had a good laugh. It was only later he discovered they were
Maiden.

Well, it impressed me when I was 14.

I just bought their live in rio video (on pirated DivX CD,
of course)... Now, I am a lifetime maiden fan, and even
though most of this video makes me cringe, I still love
them...

IRON MAIDEN RULES!!

To my big surprice i found a shitload of Maiden on soulseek
haha!
Closet maiden fans =)

Their album covers blew my mind when i was a kid , i watched
them for hours.
Especialy the bladerunner inspired "Caught somwhere in
time" and the mighty "Powerslave" cover , so much detail.

I really loved '80's maiden. Albums like Powerslave, Seventh
son of A Seventh Son are sooooo good. And that Live album,
Life after Death is faabulous.
Up until fear of the dark I love it, but after that I lost
interest.

Their video's and live shows are always cool (Eddie rules!).
I just think they've released too much live albums/video's
(life after dead, donnington CD/vid, Maiden England of which
I own the limited edition including CD, behind the iron
curtain, a real live one, a real dead one, a thirty minute
video with Paul Di Anno, their wasted years documentary,
Rock in Rio....).

But still:
RESPECT!

I used to often drink in a pub in West London that was
across the road from where Jannick Gers (the later, not
original guitaris lived), and he was always in the pub. A
couple of times Bruce Dickinson was in there as well..

Did you know Bruce D is a qualified airline pilot now. Its
true.

If I'm not mistaken, both Bruce D. and Nicko Mcbrain are
qualified pilots.

Dont forget that awesome song "phantom of the opera" that
was on the lucozade advert in Britain in a about 1987.

Widdly widdly widdly if that doesnt make you play air guitar
nothing will...

Honestly? Bruce D looks normal enough but that Nicko McBrain
character looks borderline backward.. I wouldnt get into any
plane he was flying.
