bass for his face?
surely you mean mace for his face....

i'm not a fan of moby, but his music is a hell of a lot
better than the fucking shit we have in the uk.

s club juniors anyone?

i'd rather see them little shits get beaten up.

in fact i'd pay good money to see that.

anyway, he can't be hurt that bad if he can go and write in
his poncy internet diary. whinging bald fool.

thats really sad, because moby is a nice fellow. If you read
his journal on his site you would kindoff get a picture of
what he is like, and in his interviews and everything he
seems bright and genuine. I am sad stupid people have to go
out and blatently hate a person,.... that they probubly dont
even know, so much that they have to pick on him in a bush
attack.... which is not fair at all. At least if your going
to hit someone be a man about it. If you dont like moby or
whathave you, go up and say, Moby, I fucking hate how your
selling out, pussy, I want to fight you right here and now
whore.

Its so childish to pick on a person, 3 to 1 no less, and in
an ambush. How lame. I feel sorry for him. And for the
people who bullied him

But if you really want to show that your tough... don't
bother with poor old Moby.

Try Glenn Danzig for christ sake!

(former Misfits front man, and a big fucking man at that!!)

The story on Glenn's website would read a little
differently:

"To the families of my attackers, I am sorry for your loss.
But their bones and organs will supply me with much needed
energy for my upcoming tour."

He's buff, yeah... but were you aware that he was only like
5'2'' or something? that may make him even tougher... low
center of gravity, hard to knock down, easy for him to go
for the low blows, etc.

(re: the earlier core/tits argument)
i'm laughing about it. and it has happened to me. except
there were four of them, and i got smashed in the head with
a bottle, causing me to go to the hospital.

moby probably got his ass beat for the wrong reasons.
if they were "techno-purists" or sometihng. but seriously,
like he doesn't need his ass kicked now and then?
he's had a history of this... he actually got the shit beat
out of him during a show by the stage bouncers once.

poor moby.

poor poor moby.
travis: i might make one of those moby shirts :D would you
be interested?

So what I hear in this thread is that moby betrayed techno
by doing his own (commercial maybe) thing?
What if RDJ began making cheesy R&B tunes?
I guess you all would adore him for the courage and new
refreshing look he has, and the way he pulls a trick on the
music industry and R&B scene?

Let moby just be... he cant help being himself

his music sucks..

i stupid to beat someone up just like that

Yeah if making dodgy music was I crime i'd be making a
mailbag about now!

It must take huge will power not to smack moby in the face,
those 3 were obvioulsly weak.

Seriously though, joking aside, I wouldn't hurt the guy...
maybe just heckle him a bit about how his environmental
issues went out the window as soon as he got offered a car
advert

have you lost your mind?! i also like some of his music but
you can't say that here! you get decapitated for things like
that

ow man, let's hope we get not beaten up now..

(btw i really like that seinfeld-episode where at the end
george confesses about the fake house in the hamptons
seinfeld=great!)

I imagine the relatives of the blues singers tracks he
butchered would have a pretty good motive. Still, "Go!" is
damn good and I have it on 12" :P

I hated the way he just took all those samples like a
white-boy magpie. Nothing against sampling but he did the
formula to death and just made soulless muzak for yuppies.

i agree about those samples.. listening a whole album and
not getting crazy is quite hard, because of an overload of
those samples..

and 'go' indeed still is great imo

LOL ;-)

Thanks for the rescue! What was i thinking!? I guess i
forgot i was on xltronic.com :-p The only place in the world
where it's okay to laugh about moby being beaten up, whilst
you might get decapitated if you admit you like his songs
;-)

Luckily it's quiet now, hopefully this topic will have
dissapeared from the frontpage before the place gets
crowded.

And yes... ofcouse seinfeld is great! :-D

Mr. Ross: "Where are we, George?"
George: "Almost there."
Mr. Ross: "Well, this is the end of Long Island. Where's
your house?
"
George: "We, uh, we go on foot from here."
Mr. Ross: "All right."

...

George: "There's no house! It's a lie! There's no
solarium. There's no Prickly Pete. There's no other
solarium.
"
Mr. Ross: "We know."
George: "Then, why? Why did you make me drive all the way
out here? Why didn't you say something? Why? Why? Why?
"
Mrs. Ross: "We don't like you, George."
Mr. Ross: "And we always blamed you for what happened to
Susan.
"
George: "Oh."

Mr. Ross: "All right! Let's head back."

I do!

of course Moby is only techno-Jesus. Bono is
arena-rock-Jesus, Aphex Twin is IDM-Jesus, Stone Cold Steve
Austin is Wrestlin' Jesus, Adam West is "wears tights and
hangs out with young boys" Jesus, Pope J2P2 is hunchback
Jesus; what are some other Jesuses?

jesus christ, everyones acting like he's in the hospital
with a fractured skull

he said himself he's ok, nothing to worry about.

honestly, i'd like to give moby a kick or two. some of play
was good. very little. but my mom bought 18 (gives you an
idea about how bad it is) and while i think the album sucks,
she thinks that we are made of stars is the only good song
on it.

it's gotten to the point where moby will crank out any
sample ridden, safe for the masses, piece of shit he can to
make money.

and i'm also really sick of musicians who preach.

like how moby spoke out against eminem for his
sexist/homophobic lyrics, the way courtney love speaks for
what ever is the popular struggle at the moment, sinead o
conner (nuff said)

thanks glass_eater ;-) I feel more at ease already!

"it's gotten to the point where moby will crank out any
sample ridden, safe for the masses, piece of shit he can to
make money.
"

Why is everyone always so upset that moby makes money with
his music? What's wrong with that?

Besides I honestly enjoy his sample ridden pieces of
shit ;-) I'm sure the masses do aswell... you have to
realise that there is a reason so many people like moby...
they wouldn't like him if it was all shit. Whenever i hear
that voice asking: "why does my heart feel so bad?"... it
always moves me. I also remember the first time i heard
"honey" (first single, before the album got so hyped), and
that too gave me goosebumps! It's just great music. Who
cares if it has made moby filthy stinking rich, or if he
lets companies use it in their commercials, or even if he
preaches in his album-sleeves? All these things don't make
the music any less good.

"but my mom bought 18 (gives you an idea about how bad it
is)
"

Yeah ;-) Ofcourse we all know everyone over the age of 35
has got no taste in music whatsoever. Whatever they like is
by definition horrible!
