Why are you endorsing that type of shit if you don´t like it? Don´t you see that by forwarding those urls, you support the existance of those kinds of sites and give the creators of the sites the recognition they need to continue their filthy business. And everyone who visit rotten.com and the likes give their silent approval of those site, which I think you shouldn´t. It isn´t that hard to take a stand and avoid them, you know? What´s the thing about turning everything into entertainment, anyway? I guess it´s a symptom of a society (u.s)where people have stopped giving a fuck about anyone but themselves and everything is supposed to be a sick laugh.. |

I know it´s not just an american problem, but it´s something that to a large extent originates in the U.S, and is spreading to the rest of the West world.. I know your Canadian, I never said you were american.. I don´t know where the sites you promoted are based, I guess a great number (but not all of them) are based in the U.S, but that doesn´t really matter and that wasn´t the point.. I didn´t say snufflike "entertainment" was the cause for the decline in some parts of our western society, I said it was a symptom of that. (Big difference).. There must be some reason for you to post those urls here and for looking up the site in the first place. If you were against it you probably wouldn´t want it to be spread, would you? And why is it so hard not to go there? I can see that there lies some sort of attraction in this kind of material, I don´t deny that, but you still have a choice not to go there and if you´re against this type of material you shouldn´t. I reckon it´s called practising what you preach.. It isn´t the number of people you´re spreading it to that´s the issue, it´s the intent of spreading it that counts. Of course I know that you won´t start a wave of kids going out to film themselves killing their neighbours, but you need to take a step back and take a look at the big picture. You can´t start a war on your own but that doesn´t mean you don´t have to take responsibility for your own actions.. Reflex, you seemed to miss what Zetre was saying to begin with:) I think his initial point was if you feel so strongly against this sort of thing, why did you feel the need to post a link to it for other people to see it? Personally speaking I think you are attracted to this kind of thing and need other peoples reactions to make you feel comfortable that it is really okay to look at, which I think personally is pretty sick. You spend all day going on to people about how they shouldn't post links up to ftp sites regarding rdj's latest, then you go and start posting up links to sites involving maiming, torture and death, hm, which is worse I wonder?......you don't take criticism very well either.....but this is self evident....end this thread now, it's ridiculous.... |
