i dont know how well he is known around here hehe, but this song he performed for almodovars film "hable con ella" is totally wonderfull-acoustic but very beautiful, actually it is just acoustic guitar and caetano singing
if anyone is interested its a very well known song "cucurrucucu paloma"

do you perhaps know of any caetano veloso albums that sound alike this song cucurrucu paloma?
i was trying to find any similar stuff, but it is all pretty much different, im really looking for as simple music as possible, this stuff i heard so far is all nice but not as nice as that particular song which is very slow and quiet in a beautiful way.
thanks

I dont have any release by him, but I have some friends that love him and have some of his albums... he playesd in madrid a few years ago I remember...
cucurrucucu paloma is not his song, its a popular song (I think)
but he really sings it in a new and beautiful way in the movie
I love almodovar

cool, thanks a lot
about that song-i heard numerous versions and none is as beautiful is this one-this goes for caetanos earlier version as well
i think almodovar had something to do with this particular version as well-he probably adviced caetano to sing really slowly, because his earlier version was a bit faster
