I bought a CD storrage unit today and it turrned out to be
flat pack. it was all going well, then it came to putting
the top bit overr the dowels, then it happened, the
disasterr, the dowel just burrst out the top. so now i have
a big hole in the top.

well the hole itself is about half a CM, but the finish all

acrross

That's hardly big! I mean if we were talking big I would
have gone for at least half a foot. But an inch, pfft!

Seriously though, is there not any way you can disguise it?

come on man, it ruins all the style. a big brown marrk
instead of pine effect.

Flat pack furniture is almost completely all crap. Buy old
mahogany stuff if you can afford it- it will last forever
and it keeps its value (actually becomes more valuble). Also
despite what ill informed environmentalists claim, using
mahogany is *not* bad for the environment- it lasts 5-10
times longer than pine and as such means fewer trees are cut
down. Even so, if you are "green" make sure it's not from
brasil as most of that is illegally harvested. That's all I
have to say about furniture.
