Stylus is running an appreciation of Cryptopsy's 1995 album
None So Vile.

If there's anything more extreme than this disk I have yet
to hear it.

If there's anything more extreme than this...

you might want to check out BILE ;)

Hey Bile, Bile reminds me of Skinny Puppy kinda. Have you
heard Too Dark Park?

I was checking out Bile's mp3.com page - what there is the
bestest to download? They have lots of free music.

those mp3s are a bit out of date, but if you want out-right
'sick', download "Compound Pressure"... otherwise, I might
be nice enough to upload some mp3s of them for you

some other good songs on that mp3.com site of theirs
are:

Legion
In League
Ura Fuckin' Loser
I Reject
No One I Call Friend
Green Day [this one is a very disturbing soundscape more
than a 'song']

Listening to Compund Pressure now. It is a bit like
Skinny Puppy but with moshy guitars.

None So Vile is much heavier tho.

Ha. Not even close. Cryptopsy's Flo Mounier can play faster
than their drum machine.

The singer sounds like he's making a turkey sandwich.

Meshuggah's "Destroy, Erase, Improve" might be more your
style

they have some of the most amazing drum work I've ever heard

I've never felt that guitar noise, no matter how obnoxious,
could ever be more brutal or abrasive than electronic noise.
I say Merzbow and Phthalocyanine and selected kid606 are
pretty brutal on their own..

to believe it.

I'm going to leave this up for an hour or so and hope I

Whitehouse is pretty extreme but I wouldn't call it brutal.

What I mean by brutal is the sense that a bodybuilder speed
freak ogre with a keen sense of rhythm is using your skull
for a punching bag.
