hevquip from an egren's coffee shop on 2001-08-30 19:04 [#00027909]

i've heard that trent's been working on something new. i
wonder when it' going to come out.

recycle from need new aphex twin on 2001-08-30 22:11 [#00027975]

supposed by early 2002

Ellies on 2001-08-31 02:45 [#00028058]

dvd probably won't be out until like december or early next
year..Personally though I can't wait until they come out
with doom 3, so I can my favorite game while listening to
one of my fav musicians (Trent).

teapot from brisbane on 2001-08-31 02:48 [#00028061]

DVD is definately coming out early 2002, and all they have
said about TAPEWORM is "look out for it in 2002"...

Barrett, Syd from Toronto on 2001-08-31 05:17 [#00028086]

tweeker's got an ep out now.

tapeworm, early next year.

dvd, early next year. it's the menus and art direction
that's being worked on by dylan carson (i think that's his
name) but i can't wait for that. that was supposed to be out
this time last year. fuckin trent. says he's going to do ten
things a year, then will only complete one. but damn are
they good.

what i can't wait for on this dvd is the audio commentary by
the reznormeister! cause he's the man.

sick on 2001-08-31 06:15 [#00028094]

what about the project with the female singer? any one know
if that is still going to happen. whats this tweeker you
speak of? i find tons of tapeworm mp3s on the net who knows
if they are real or not, some sound good some sound real
bad.

Ellies on 2001-08-31 06:23 [#00028096]

You find tons of Tapeworm mp3's? The only thing I know of
circulating is the APC cover of Vacant. But yes Tapeworm
does exist.

Tweeker is a solo prject by chris vrenna
(ex-nin drummer)
O don't really think he's sat down and committed to the girl
prject yet..although maybe he has since the label has since
stopped reciving demos for it.

Barrett, Syd from Toronto on 2001-08-31 06:32 [#00028097]

nah those aren't real.

tweeker is chris verenna's side project. he's an ex-NIN
drummer.

and the female thing hasn't been spoken about in a long
time.

he was also supposed to do a track or a few with aaliyah but
that's obviously not happening anymore.

he was also supposed to do an album with dr. dre, and who
knows if that'll happen. probally not, hopefully though.

there was also a possibility of him doing the score to the
new movie "one hour photo" staring robin williams where
he's kinda nuts directed by mark romeak (dunno the spelling
of his last name, something like that) who did a couple of
trents videos but that didn't end up happening. they used
songs from the fragile in the test screenings cause the
music hadn't been added to the film yet, but i don't think
many if any will make it into the final cut.

there's also the quake 4 soundtrack which trent told the
john carmak (another error in spelling) that he'd like to
do. carmak did the quake games and many other hit games in
the past. but who knows if that will end up happening?
probally will tho, as trent said he loved doing quake, and
would love to do it again, the only reason he didn't do the
others was due to conflicting schedules....

and there was also a somewhat acoustic album of songs off
the fragile/new songs that was really breifly talked
about.......

AND there is the new music he has been making recently for
the next NIN which at last report was supposed to be another
double album, and that's always a good thing. cause you can
never get too much NIN.

i think there's more..... there was something about the left
over fragile songs but those were mostly on the "things
falling apart" remix album....

that's all i can remember off the top of my head right now.
but as you can see, not alot ends up happening in the end.

oh. he's co-producing the new 12 rounds album, or at least a
couple tracks, right now.

and did that recent remix of 'lapdance' i think it's called
by the rap band N.E.R.D.

ok. i think i got it all now.

Barrett, Syd from Toronto on 2001-08-31 06:37 [#00028098]

oh. it's rumoured that david fincher will direct the movie
'survivor' (which is a whole big story in itself)......
reznor was wanted to do the score, as the author is a huge
NIN fan (Chuch Pahlniuk, whose last name is spelt wrong
there, but he wrote fight club)

but the studio execs at warner aren't crazy about that idea,
but i beleive that now someone else is giving the green
light and i heard he's liking the idea. i'm not sure if
fincher is still attached, but i think he was.

ok. that is all. till i remember something as soon as i hit
'post'.

rF from a warm place on 2001-08-31 07:01 [#00028099]

I was reading through the song credits on The Fragile the
other day, and I noticed that the song "Even Deeper" is
co-produced by Dr. Dre..? What did he add to the song?

A NIN dvd would be excellent, if one ever comes out in
Australia.. Because I haven't seen any NIN videos (I've been
looking for 'Closure' for a while, and also the Fragility
1.0 tour one) in any record shops around where I live..

Barrett, Syd from Toronto on 2001-08-31 07:11 [#00028102]

there's no official fragility v1.0 movie. if you've seen
one, then it's some bootleg or something......

i don't know what dre added, but yeah, he did co-produce it.
i remember when trent flew out there to do it......... but
an album featuring the two would be fantastic

teapot from brisbane on 2001-08-31 07:14 [#00028104]

the fragility 1.0 video was a promo given to music
channels... it would cut to live footage, and then cut to
trent in a room playing the piano.. its absolutely amazing.
i recorded it off australian tv's RAGE. they play it quiet
often

rF from a warm place on 2001-08-31 07:23 [#00028106]

I taped it off Rage too, I was just wondering if there was
an official release of the video, with full tracks as
opposed to just half of them...
My favourite song from that Fragility 1.0 video would have
to be The Frail / The Wretched.. I love those bits that
Trent adds in in The Frail..

teapot from brisbane on 2001-08-31 07:28 [#00028107]

apparently the video for fragility v1.0 is along the same
lines as what the dvd will be... but unfortunately no
official release of 1.0

the live exerpts were filmed from Brixton Academy mostly...

recycle from need new aphex twin on 2001-08-31 17:52 [#00028240]

thanks y'all

i think the fragile is a great album
to bad it didnt "bring back rock"

Ellies on 2001-08-31 17:57 [#00028245]

rock died years and years ago..people need to stop dragging
it's carcass through the mud. don't believe me? Go turn on
mtv..let go..move on..because until everyone does the world
is going to remain a boring place.

recycle from need new aphex twin on 2001-08-31 17:59 [#00028246]

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
say it isnt so ??
i believe in rock
it will come back
the rap and r&b bands
boy bands
teen pop crap must die???

trent and richard will rule the world !!

recycle from need new aphex twin on 2001-08-31 18:01 [#00028247]

so wheres the tweeker website??
i just went to ubl.com
ultimate band list
and couldnt find anything???
thanks

Barrett, Syd from Toronto on 2001-08-31 21:42 [#00028289]

ah. the fragility v1.0 was filmed by mtv. but like i said,
it's not a commercial release, and if you do find it, it'll
either be a bootleg of it or a promo copy, which there can't
be that many.

rock will keep comming back. rock will be big within 2 years
again. look at the recent success of staind, tool, slipknot,
weezer........ 2 out of 4 of those bands suck, but
regardless, there's been some record breakers there.

Ellies on 2001-09-01 04:10 [#00028328]

yeah I wasn't saying ti was dead because no one cared
anymore..I was saying it's dead because there's no more
innovation..even the bands you listed aren't really anything
new..

Barrett, Syd from Toronto on 2001-09-01 09:27 [#00028379]

slipknot and staind (the two who suck) are somewhat..... sum
41? regardless, i've noticed that they play more rock on tv
again, and the sales for some recent rock albums have been
pretty impressive... not that much but enough for me to
beleive that it's going to get bigger again. even if most of
it sucks, there's going to be a new surge of good bands.
happens every 10 years or so.... and we're about due for
some new good popular rock.

recycle from need new aphex twin on 2001-09-04 17:55 [#00029417]

at nin.com.

Tapeworm... can't say I'm too excited about that. I've been
a nails fan all my life, but Maynard's latest effort as Tool
(Lateralus) sucked.

bad!

ya i like aenima and undertow better then lateral. probably

Lateralus was terrible! It's in league with Slipknot and
Linkin Park and that sort of shit.

offline CORTEX from Canada on 2002-04-03 03:32 [#00155675]

the only "bad thing" about lateralus is that i dont see any
significant progression from aenima. it doesnt sound like
slipknot at all! they are in a class above those bands.

offline Spookyluke from United States on 2002-04-03 03:36 [#00155680]

Nope, it sucks. It's screaming and yelling and generally
being-white trash. Maybe if I were going to appreciate
Lateralus, I'd start smoking, drop out of school, and wear
an over-sized Slipknot t-shirt everyday.
