if you have to pick just one song that just makes you go
"wow" or "goddamn" every time you hear it, what would it be?

I'll have to break the barrier and say that Aphex comes in
seccond place there...
#1) The song "Where's Jack the Ripper" by Grooverider. It's
number five on the album "Misterys of Funk".
#2) Vordhosbn (think it's spelled like this) by Aphex, from
"druqs".

Their music is wery slow but incredibly strong at the same
time. That's what makes them unike, well that and the way
they play that electrical guitar. Have you seen any of their
videos?

i saw them live last night and depressed is about the
opposite of what i felt. the new album is but a faint
shadow of a whisper of what sigur ros is and does. it was
the most pleasurable moment of my life. the passion that
flows through that little man put me to tears of joy. i saw
them last year and i can say i didn't think it was possible
for any band/artist to come so far in a year. the whole
thing was very surreal. the entire theater was crying
screaming singing along. life is beautiful!

i figured out a while ago how important audience reception
of music performance is to how deep the performer can get,
and one of the band members were talking the very same thing
in an interview recently. then the interviewer asked,
"anybody ever just lose it, go nuts?" they said "no, it
hasn't really got to that point." this show was in a
theater and everyone was sitting down, but my friend lost it
at one point and was updancing in ecstasy and i was nearly
standing myself. people on stage seemed as if they might
have been crying. jonsi looked it. his face was so
intense... his entire body was consumed by it at points.
makes me wonder if all the shows of the tour were like this
or if there was some threshold that was overcome. either
way, this band is all i could ever dream for.

I just think it's called "Coldcut Remix" It's on Reich:
Remixed. Very similair to the original, but less drawn out,
easier to hold your attention.

Yes. Damn good. And so ahead of his time. Think
electronic style (composition wise) music on classical
instruments. Superb.

I would say that 'Pen Expers' just couldn't have been
created differently. After a while you imagine this is the
only way it could possibly sound like.

I'm not kidding you.

It's just another way of saying a track is perfect.

yeah .. i'd say there's a few of those tracks on confield.

hey phob, whats the deal with smak .. is it a label?
subsidiary of skam? is smak a label? i'm not really
familiar with the smak/mask series - just got the smak
compilation and its brilliant, and sparked my interest in
the subject.

SKAM is the label. SMAK is the serie - comparable to the
famous and higly sought after MASK-serie.

Xltronic will feature sections/chapters dedicated to the
mysterious world of SKAM.
